I heard that when graff battles by way of blackbook first started that artist only did one round battles and then they decided on a word to piece in their blackbooks.. well me being a Oldskool fan.. of the music and the style and all.. this is what i cooked up.. tell me what u think..

rules:
- 1 person designated to pick a word
- 2 artist willing to piece the word
- 4 days max to piece the word
- 1 round battle
- everyone votes and critz
- might need another rule.. it's up to u.

and then just do it over and over and over and over and over and over.. until it gets old... so basically every one round same word battle stays in this thread.

P.S. i mean it would cut out all the one rounders .. like the one i started and the other one i saw.. but it's not like one rounders are a prob.. and i think two artist doing the same word would be dope personally. .. if ya'll r down i'll pick the first word.. how about "Drone".. what two artist wanna be the 1st ta try this out??

daaaamn man when i saw the thread name i thout it'd be an old-school STYLE battle....that'd be dope.....cept most ppl here would have to look for examples of old-school before they got started...

still. this is how the battles should be. that way we can see overall skill of a writer, not just how well they can regurgitate 5 or 6 letters.

first i think someone should sticky this thread...

and correction about how this works... the style of your piece doesn't necessarily have to be oldskool; it's the same word, 1 round idea that makes this an oldskool battle style.

.. i mean if the style of your piece was oldskool it would be a little boring so in order to mix the old with the new, peeps should just do the same word and have a one round battle, keepin the current style that they use.

.. but i mean if ya'll wanna go all oldskool, i guess u could use an oldskool style on your pieces.. it's really up to the person who decides what word they want 2 other artists to piece..

(if i were to choose styles i guess i would choose from: oldskool, wildstyle, your style, and ... throwie style?.. i don't know?)

ok well now were just waiting on Twitch to finish up his "Drone" piece.. meanwhile i'm ready and willing to piece "Juice" so now we just need another artist who wants to piece Juice as well, i was thinking Pop n jay.. but who ever says they want a shot at it first get's to oldskool battle me.

P.S. remember Fisdj after another artists agree's to piece Juice you should post up your rules ASAP.. and nice work on your "Drone" piece!
