Cool whatcha think of manilla? - 10-21-2003, 10:27 PM

ok. for those of us that know who maniulla really is and have been influenced by him, can you leave a short parograph or whatever about how manilla has influenced you and the rest of the graffiti world. i'm looking especially for comments from you misia!

the reason i need this is because i'm trying to write an essay on pretty much the same thing for art class. my teacher wants us to write a long ass essay about an artist that has influenced us and the world of art and that person's style of art. i figured i'm use manilla because he's brought soo damn much to these boards, he spends a lot of time helping other writers develope, he's always got dope flix and tips. that and he's got mad skill. manilla's really given me a lot of insight on the graffiti world and i hope to meet him someday..

MMM wassup with you guys and manila?

But anyways he is a realy chill and kool guy. He is the type of guy who watch's your back all the time specialy when it comes down to paint. there are several times where he put his life on the line to make sure i got away. even though I think he is dope he always seem to put him self down saying he's wack and by the look in his eyes you can tell he is not joking. The funny thing to is he never sketch's only once in a great while and when he goes out its always fresh and crazy. His way of thinking kind of gets you some times about the game. You would belive in something and when he talks its like you start thinking extra hard and belive what he feels. Its crazy!!!!!

im going to kill manila for putting that sig earlyer. your wierd manila hahahahah

"GRAFFITI IS AN ART, AND IF ART IS A CRIME, HOW COME PICASSO NEVER DONE TIME"

Cavemen did it, so did Romans and Egyptians. The Incas did
it, so did Greeks and Native Americans. There was graffiti on the
New York subway a year after it was built. There`s graffiti on the
moon. If graffiti is vandalism, and vandalism is graffiti, then man
has left his mark with garbage at the farthest reaches of the
universe. So you with your pathetic desire to be remembered are in
good company. I could spend a ream of paper telling you about the
development of modern graffiti, but we`ve got other ground to cover.
It`s important that you know it, so ask your local expert (or DJ
Deadly Budda in Pittsburg if you don`t have one) and he`ll tell you
his version.
