Right i hope a mod has deleted the old thread.
Here are the rules:

i dunno whats wrong really, i ent really feelin it, the color scheme isnt top like the drips in them letters, if there was less of them and like left a bit out so there is white on it like there is light shining on it, that should make it look a load better.. umm you could try have a full color on the piece then on the 3D have the same color but in a different shade like darker, or a completely different color, and have the smae color 3D in the whole piece what you havent done here like in the middle of the leter its blue, and your like wtf is that, im not even sure if its 3D or a background, but 3D should be there, and if the blue is the 3D try puttin lines from the corners in the corect angle ughh hard to explain but you should know what i mean, this would just give it a feel thats it IS 3d amd not a background.. you need to work on your letters more but that will come in time and practise..
Alloy
Lookin alright, a bit sloopy but that adds to the effect, itl like someone has droped water on a hot surface and it steams and evaporates bits of water and the left over water wiggles on the surface, haha, you havta see it to know what i mean, but it definatly looks like liquid.. The white on the piece really is efective, but to make it more like woow effect, try gettin a normal pencil and shadeing like lights shining on it, just put in where the shadows would be, it will like bring it of the page and make it look i dunno, just better.. the background needs some work, jus get like a darker yellow or ornage and go round the edges of it dadeing into the middle like it looks 3D, you could also use the white thing like what you did on the piece, that would make the whole thing stand out, and you could try to make the background like all bubley, ive never tryed this but it should look good especially from the shadowing..
IMO i think that alloy wins this, others may think different but it was kinda close but i just prefered alloys piece..
