Cool altering caps - 09-11-2003, 10:48 PM

ok.. we dont have one of these ones yet so i made this thread so we can share our tipos to madifying tips

1. super thin from stock
take a lighter (preferrably a propane torch) and heat up the dot untill it's melting a little bit. dont heat it too much or it'll close over too much. next, push the dot a little (carefil it's hot) IF YOU GET IT RIGHT, THE HOLE WILL CLOSE UP AND MAKE A DECENT SUPER THIN.. you may be able to use this method to make fat caps too if you can do it right

2. take a seringe needle from your local junkie or diabetic, break the needle off in the hole of the tip, make shure theres a little room for the paint to flow and super glue the needle in place. you should get a good thin tip

3. IF YOUR CANS ARE TOO HIGH IN PREASSURE, put a TINY peice of toothpick in the stem of the cap. dont block it completely, you need the paint to flow. this SHOULD slow the flow of paint if done properly.. ba careful tho you can ruin caps easily doin this. this SHOULD make it so YUO CAN WRITE SLOWER AND AVOID DRIPS

1)take a needle (for clothing)and a lighter

2)heat up needle end (the pointy end) and heat it up

3)aim and stick it into the dot in the cap, STRAIGHT in. Only a little though, or it will open it up too much.

Experiemnt, different pins have different diameters, therefore changing the size of the flow, making different sized caps

Pop out the round part of the cap and fill it with hot candle wax whilst holding a pin or a pencil in the hole. You get different hole sizes and can make your own custom caps that you couldn't get in stores otherwise.

by melting the wax, isnt that the same way as melting the tip but not perminant?

oh and what diameter needle would you use to make a nice fine tip?
