instead of doing an outline where the corner is, just use a lighter color....shading plays a big part in 3d style

Think about it, you have writers learning the ins and outs of entire transport systems, risking serious injury even death, arrest and criminal records that would limit your opportunities for the rest of your life, for what? To simply paint a picture, does this seem logical to you? If the answer is no then it is most likely that you don’t fathom the idealism behind graffiti.

I think he did the shading fine. The sharp shading fits with the peice, and usually looks good on blocks like he did.

i dunno all the 3d that i've seen the "outline" doesn't continue onto the corners, it's just shaded very well. but hey, who knows.

here i'll show ya an example of what i'm tryin to say....look at the bottom near the middle (the "s" if ur reading it)....see how there appears to be no outline? just a transition to a darker shade.

You're trying to go illegible too soon... soncentrate on being simple but trying to have style, and try to clean up the drawings more. Other then that, practice and you will get good

thx, im just startin out and i think i'm more into asian characters.
asian calligraphy is pretty tight

as much as i hate learning kanji, i like some of the sophisticated strokes and how it used to be symbols
