bleh by your words I get the feeling you are trying to take shortcuts and I don't think that is going to work in my humble opinion. What would you rather... do something properly or just do it quickly? This relates to what gone was saying about writing for yourself or writing for others....it take time to learn to express yourself through your hands.
Pieces develop into more complex pieces. You have to know how to do a tag before you can piece and you have to know your simple style before you can wildstyle. And most important you have to know your style to make it good.
Things build on the foundations you have already laid down. If the houses foundation isn't strong then there is no point in building it.
Your style is always developing. Like I said you are done when it looks good. If I feel that i need to add more and more to it or try and MAKE it look good then it is going to look like garbage. I take a step back and stay off for a while then I coem back later and see if anything needs to be done with it. if not then I dub it finished.
A Basketball player doesn't try and fix his entire game he works on the elements that make his game off. Free throws, layups, ball control speed. All of which make or break a game. he works on each one intently until in the final game he doesn't even think about it he just does it and his whole game has improved.
A Great artist doesn't try and make himself paint an awesome painting. He works on himself and his technique and those elements that make a final piece great come out and in the end lead to WHATEVER he is drawing/painting/ doing to be great.
So with yours a few pointers:
1) Unify your style. Make it our own and let it go through out the entire piece
2) Enjoy the process of creating a piece
3) Keep it simple and work on your basic letter forms. Even if you have Connections and hook-ups that rival the work of some of the best. Even if you had colors that put great writers to shame. If your Letters are wack you lose.

looks like u can draw... i started graff my freshman year i goy some iLL wildstyle just keep at it just follow the rule come up with ur own styles and u'll do great
may or may not be the case but we won't know til you put some flixs up friend. and if your not willing to do that why front...anyway hope over to the graff flix thread and go crazy >_o
if you do wanna bitch out tho. google search "graffiti creator" or "mr wiggles". girls think it's cool, but really it's weak as fuck and no writer will ever respect you for it.
