I'd say thats not bad for a start. Defiantly better than what I had. I'm just starting as well, next I'd say try messing around with 3D.
Something I did last night. Not the best, I was thinking of doing something like that for my first throw up. How's the shadow looking?

thats a good start taza, dont worry about being a toy, that goes away wit practice and time... and yea just keep doing letters like that, even more simple if you wish, but if you feel that thats your style or you feel confortable with it, then go ahead and keep doing them like that... and yo intro, im not sure i dont think thats considered a throw up (or maybe it is, and i havent got the idea of a throw up yet lol) but yea, keep working on it, its cool, just try to make the whole thing bigger, so that you can paint your letter more freely, and get yourself some markers that dont get dry too fast, im not sure which brand over there last longer, cuz the one right here is actually a dollar store markers (with me, crayolas always get dry too fast) but yea, get some markers that dont get dry too fast, and just keep it up and try to not color like that (missing some spots) and whenever your coloring stuff like that, try coloring from left to right, or top to bottom, cuz if you start doing random strikes with the colors its going to be a little to noticeable and might screw up your piece and stuff, peace

thanks the word I'm practicing is obviously taza but i cant really think of a handstyle for it so i'll keep practicing that. Does anyone know any easy words to start on or should i just be practicing letters right now and worry about words later?

I'm pretty sure that would be a throw up. It's wouldn't a tag and certainly isn't a piece. I'm thinking about doing something like that for the first time I go out. I got new markers too. For TAZA, you can work on handstyles and tags whenever your bored. They are really easy and quick to practise. This link has a good variety of letters to start building you handstyle on. Just keep practising then a LOT and add your own style to them. http://people.uleth.ca/~headsofhipho...tialphabet.pdf
I will upload another pic tonight for crits.
[PICS]
From worst to best....
I was thinking about doing an outline for the last one, but decided not to.
Advice?

My biggest problem is finding a good word that isnt taken and also my handstyle's. I lack creativity for a handstyle so most of the ones i practice turn out crap. I really want to go out and paint but i know i need ALOT! more practice before i can go out and do that.
Oh yeah and i almost forgot thanks paintball that list of letters is very helpful.

getting a good handstle takes years of practise, and so does being a good writer in general... but the key word is practise, sketch as much as possible!

Thr garlic isn't a bad start IMO. I'd add some 3D and color next.
