yeah kinda, i would say that aker gave u a really good bit of advice when he said read the NEWBS look here thred or whatever its called, i would say, to stop tryna work on full words at the moment coz it isnt as important as gettin each letter lookin crisp and clean, start off with really really basic letters like bubble letters or standard block letters, when u can draw them really clean then work on making your own letters up style it out a bit. once u have a full alphabet of letters and they are lookin really crisp and clean, then try writing words with them, and instead of just overlapping them, try and find ways of making them flow together. i know it seems like a lot of hassle and ya just wanna do pieces like mad straight away, but its like bboyin, if ya dont got the foundations the whole thing looks sloppy.

Personally, i dont think newbs shud write other peoples names first

WHY? because u should get yur name down first, and make that name as clean, as u can, or, like i do, just do a couple, like 3-4 names first, and jus focus on those

mosquito, try strait up and down block letters and bubble letters for now. get a general idea of letter structure and flow. work on your handstyle too of course.

my biggest peice of advise right now is just stick to paper for a few months. get used to developeing your own style, and concentrate hard on letter structure....


i just cant put enough stress on structurew and flow... a waxk style can look good with good flow, but if you have no flow, structure will ehlp you out. so basically srtucture+flow=good

First graffiti wit colors....I used Pentel MAXIFLO whiteboard marker and Pilot Hi-Techpoint V7 (fine) to color and to outline it...praise me,flame me,cuss me,any comments will be deeply appreciated..

Letter Structure - Yours is quite awkard to look it and inconsistent. I cant even tell what the first letter is. Try working on it so your length and style is consistent

Coloring - The colors are not only messy, they dont match. Try restricting yourself to 3 colors for now and not using marker next time, especially water-based marker.

Connections - As with many newbs, there are none. In fact, where your letters overlap it reverts to its background colour, making it look awful. Try simply overlaping the letters completly

Effects - The force field (2nd background) looks complely awful and doesnt even make sense. Try making it surround your blue background instead of just filling in random, created, gaps. Your 3d is on target, but missing in some places and too long in others.

Im sorry, but your graffiti needs a whole new life... that was completly awful. Nearly reminds me of my 9 yr old brother drawing to be critical. 1/10

heres summat i did in my black book the other day, it says GIRO cos thts wot i write. Wot u all fink?

i like the style of the letters but i think u over used the arrows a little, the 3d and colour needs a bit of work too, not bad tho man, keep it up

umm i found a can of some rust crap i dont think its paint, buh my mom kept sayin it was white paint. i did a hand style over some stupid happy face i did in my back yard when i was around 8.
