do i have close guy friends. not really, but thats cuz most of the guys i konw. are all assholes to me, cuz i have close friends that are girls.

It's not Americans. It's the world in general. Most of the world's religions are at their base level very intolerant of LGBT people. That certainly doesn't help for accepting gay people. Also we're taught from a young age that love is between a man and a woman, blah blah blah, people are prejudiced because that's the way it is.

I think you guys are expressing much more idealism than you actually feel. This is just an intuition, so go ahead and call me out if you want to, but I don't think your as comfortable as you think you are when it comes to being around homosexuals.



Since it is queer (true to the definition) it naturally will make you feel uncomfortable. I found myself uncomfortable with a lot of stuff until I really gave it a chance. I 'came out' kicking and screaming.
