-sign- its been around 9 months into bboying for me, i love bboying, cause i suck at sports and its something i love to do, so today i go to a local park, to session with my friends, i get home my parents are pissed, cause i went out to dance, and theyre like whyd you go out on the streets to dance? if you do it again your kicked out the house, really angry, and against me, and then they say all these pointless stuff, like.. focus on your studies, im like its summer.. i want to do something and not just sit at home. and then theyre like no no no you still have summer school, ( im taking geometry over the summer to get into a advanced class, i took alg 2 this recent year ) and im like its 22 days away.. theyre like so? and then theyre like (dont mind this, their strict asian parents -______-) you go out with all your white and black friends to dance on the street, we're not white we're asian, we have morals and tradition and house bullshit w/e i wasnt payying attention to that. and then im like w/e you cant stop me from dancing its something i love to do. so just stop and then they keep going. -____- idk what to do, cant convince them or anything theyre just being so irritating and ASIAN.

I'm thinking of raising an army of minions.

Does this count as a social problem?

They prolly just don't understand dude, best option is to try and convince them to just support you in what you do. I was lucky i think in that my parents supported me even when they didnt agree with me, which is really rare.

Good luck tho man, really

Pretty fucking complicated - 06-19-2009, 06:27 PM

This is pretty weird situation. There is this new girl called Arlene who has now joined in my year at school. She is pretty fit i have to admit She isn't in any of my classes but i figure if i talk to her online a bit, make her feel more comfortable about coming to the school then i shud be in with a chance of being friends with her. After a while i ask her for her phone number, so it is a little more 1 on 1 if you get me The first time i go to talk to her in school she seems pretty shy, and I don't know if its cause she doesn't want to talk to me or if she is into me? I say the same thing to my friend and they say the same things as i said.

It suddenly changes. At my award ceremony (basically an assembly where acheivements are recognised) my friend Geeham (Well, his name is graham) comes upto me and says "Chaz, i got some good news for you." I'm just like "Ok...what is it?" He then says to me "You know that new girl Arlene? Well I was talking to her and she said 'You know who I think is a total babe? That guy who does the taop dancing (she obviously means bboying but didn't know the name)...' And I go 'You mean Chaz?' She then goes 'Yeah' and I say again 'So you think Charlie is a babe?' And then she suddenly denies saying it...But best thing is there were 2 guys with us when we said it so theres proof of her liking you."

What does my friend notice after saying that? But Arlene is looking at Geeham after i get a bit friendly with him over the statement. At least that is what he thought.

Then a few hours ago i talk to my friend Matt online and he asks "Are you getting stuck into Arlene?" And I go "Dunno, not really thought about that" (When in actual fact I was trying to). And then for a little while he is telling me how he is into this girl Arlene as well. Things would have been ok if he didn't say "Tbh I think I have the better chance" im just shocked and say "Why?" And he goes "Coz im the hotter guy" I didn't want to start a conversation about this "Its not looks its emotions" thing so i basically refused to talk about it. He then jumps to the conclusion that Ive changed, im uptight about a girl and such...which is bullshit!

Now I don't know if Arlene is guna reply back 2 my text cause i think she knows that Geeham told me that she thinks im hot. I just hope to god that everything shud be ok!!

Is there anything here that you guys can do to help me?

Much appreciated

I don't know if anyone else has had any similar problems, but here's a big one.

So I was at school in wrestling class in the locker room, when I saw a drug deal going down. I had always been raised to avoid drugs at all cost, so I decided a good way to deter them from their drugs would be to make a casual joke about weed being for chumps. Immediately, this huge wrestler from our team slams me against the wall and grabs my throat and yells at me to say it again. He has been taking steroids for a while, and his roid rage is really setting in. Instantly and without thinking, I slammed my foot onto his and when he leaned down, I brought my knee up into his face. There was blood everywhere. I saw him getting up so I tried to put him into a joint lock that I learned at my martial arts class. Unfortunately, I had not mastered it yet, and with my adrenaline pumping through every vein in my body, I snapped one of his tendons. He was rushed to the school nurse and she says he won't be able to wrestle for a year and a half. He has nothing else going for him. He was relying on getting a full wrestling scholarship to Berkley, but now that's impossible. Ever since then he's been leaving threats in my locker that say things like "24 days left," and he's been smiling at me in wrestling from the sidelines and flashing me a gun in his pocket. Well, day 0 arrives in half a week, so I finally broke down and told my mom, the only person I knew I could confide in who I knew would protect me. Well she got scared and said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought, "Nah, forget it. Yo, holmes to Bel-Air!" I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo holmes smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.
