First off, what happened to the fitness forum?

Now, let's discuss pushups.
Do they help your bboying? If yes, then how so?
How many reps/sets can you do? And what were the results?

push ups are good cos u can do alot of them and fast which makes real strong toned muscle rather than lifting weights which will build up more muscle mass for you to have to carry upside down.make you less flexible too.Know this.Low number of reps with extremely heavy weight builds mass more and lots of reps with light weights tones and strengthens you but youre not gonna end up like a brick wall who cant break cos he s to stiff, but if you want to be nimble n strong for b-boyin push-up type excercises are good and gymnast-type exercises.If you wanna build up strength but still be flexible and flipable, check out americangymnast.com for methods of excercise.Hope dat helps.

you posted two messages cause lag. it happens all the time.

so fast push ups build toned stronger muscles?
because i don't want to just have mass, i want to get kind of cut, stronger, and build endurance.

all doing a lot of pushups will do is get you really good at doing pushups.

use variation, don't just drill one exercise over and over.
