A gentle reminder... - 07-18-2005, 11:12 PM

Some people seem to think that because this board is called "General Discussion" that it is a free-for-all on which you can post pretty much anything you like.

That is NOT the case.
When you joined this site you agreed to a set of rules, terms and conditions. There was nothing complicated about it.

For the benefit of those who either didn't bother reading it, have forgotten, or think that it doesn't really matter, please read over the following and bear it in mind...

Read the gentle reminder thread and you'll get the idea.

Hey stiff uk,
i understand exactly what you mean. But what abou the threads that get locked for no evident reason. I made two threads yesterday one was deleted the other was locked,

I can sort of understand y the TPAM thread would be deleted,

but why lock my "Im Back" thread? I recieved several responses that i was eager to reply to and then i saw the "Forum locked" symbol

TPAM= The person above me,
its a way to get to know eachother by replying to the person above you (whoever posted b4 u),
of course it grew large and out of the blue, some moderators labled it as SPAM and deleted it....... 4 times.

I remember you, but u joined only a few months b4 i left

TPAM was always going to get deleted. If one mod didn't do it another would.

I did not write the rules. I gathered together a load of thing that had been decided to make some of the "read here first" threads.
The rules that everyone agreed to - wether they read them or not - were not written by me but by the site Admin.

The "I'm Back" got locked, I would imagine, because there is a thread for introductions, which is basically what "I'm back" threads are.

If someone doesn't read the rules, that does not mean they don't apply. It's their own problem if they don't read them first and then get themselves hassle or banned for breaking them.
