You start thinking that you're really going to go mad bro. I've always been very anti government (mainly because the guy in government here is a jackass) but to be honest, the government isn't always doing things because they have some hidden malevolent agenda. When people gain power, everybody seems to demonise every little slip up and mistake as being because they are evil forces controlled by the man, but maybe it's not always like that.
I'll give you an example. One day my bro and i were driving to pick my mum up from this party she was at. Anyway i was sitting there, chilling and listening to some music and i asked my bro a question that had always bugged me.
"Hey dude, how come the bitumen on the road always changes like every few kilometres?"
Well my brother actually used to work for the roads and traffic authority as a project manager (he did civil engineering at university) and so i thought he'd be qualified to answer, as the Roads and Traffic Authoriy is the government agency in control of things like road construction.
"Well actually, the bitumen changes every few kilometres to provide the right sort of road conditions to assist drivers as they drive in certain parts of the country. Because they know that certain areas are hazardous when wet, or hard to manoeuvre around, they change the bitumen accordingly, adding ingredients for wet weather, tight handling and to help the tyres grip the road if it's needed."
It may not sound like much, i mean it doesn't sound like concrete proof that the government actually cares about us, but just little things like that, convince me that perhaps the people we elect, actually care that much about us and that we don't always have to view people in power as evil forces.
Sure, we may seem to follow the words of our leaders blindly sometimes, but if they wield such power, how have people like Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore and other very subversive writers like Marx, Hegel, Hayden White, Derrida, and Foucault been allowed to have such influence over what we learn.
We are very lucky to live in mostly democratic societies such as Australia, Britain and i guess America (although it's shady), i don't think that their's a secret agenda to control the mindless following pawns of society for a devious end, rather i view politicians as often just very misguided and blind people themselves, who have really just lost their insight into what the rest of us think and feel.
Sorry for the long ass post, it's great that you guys are critically thinking, don't ever stop questioning what you learn, but always take anti-establishmentarian ideas with a grain of salt, remember rebellious people are often the greatest of hypocrites, because the very abuse and wielding of state power that they despise, they would seek to utilise for ends that they perceive to be just, no different from any other bureaucrat.

The math stuff is true, as it can be proven. But what of other things? Are they really true? Or is this just a conception our minds have created? (kinda makes you think of the Matrix don't it?) For Christians anyway, if God really knows how we will end up in the future, can we really make decisions? And what's it like to die? Will I be the concious mind of another body? Reincarnation? Will there be a heaven? Or hell? Will we live "in another place" after we pass away?
Just some more questions to bug us all for eternity.

im not anti government, i think there should be a leader to lead all of us. i'm jus trying to see if people are actually aware that this country is corrupt. there's just so many fucked up things being done...and our freedom of speech is being robbed of us (the Patriot Act allows the government to spy on you and tap into your phone calls, and im saying like every citizen).
and you want fucked up? Ronald Reagan introduced crack to the ghetto to keep the black man poor. The FBI created a group called Crips to disband the Black Panthers (which is not racist, but only went against the KKK) and to have more and mroe niggaz kill each other. AIDS became widespread because of America. I also believe the leaders of this country are going to make this country into a militarized police state where the only way to live is to join the military. This would then set the foundation for the American empire dominating the world. And you have the Bush administration generating fear to control you...especially with that "color coded" terror alert shit, which is retarded.
and recently, congress passed an act that takes away your private property. so basically, the government can take your house and turn it into anything it wants. It originally was for turning it into a school or something else for public need.
ALSO the income tax is voluntary. The money is collected and put into PRIVATE BANKS instead of schools, public funding, or the military. THAT MEANS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IS BEING USED FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S LAMBAGINI.
to sum that all up, you're all slaves. and you think, since the income tax is voluntary, you don't need ta pay it right? well, you don't, if you don't mind being arrested. don't kno about financial independence though, gonna have to look that up.
I can go on forever...
yes, i do feel lucky to live here, but not as lucky as those who moved to Canada. I'm not saying this country is bad. I'm saying it's fuckin corrupt and feel the need to spread the info that i know. You can find all this shit all over the internet if you look it up on google.
im moving to canada. again, i aint anti-government. i think this coutnry has a lot of freedoms and allows ppl like me to talk shit about the government. but, i think there are the leaders out there that should be stopped and put in jail, because they have been very, very bad...not bad...sickening.

yea. somehow the youth got involved and was influenced with violence, i forgot how.
i dont think crips claimed blue originally...but i may be wrong.
here's the info: http://www.sonic.net/~doretk/Issues/.../factfict.html
actually, it may not be true. the midst of my anger made me believe to be true haha.
i just found so much info on the things this country don't want you to know about, all cuz of two things: money and power.
but judging by how the rich always puts down the poor, it's probably true...or at least most of it.

you make a good point. i guess it's who's making the better arguement, but i firmly stand against the our current leaders.
also, i read this publication about the government and media, which was written in the 60's that said "they'll give you what you want but in reality they hate your guts."
like if you want to hear that it's raining, they'll tell you that it's raining. if you want to hear that it's gonna be a sunny day, they'll tell you it's a sunny day. stuff like that.
there are defidently good politicians that care about the welfare of ppl, but they usually get put down.

ok maybe i don't need to continually make the point that politicians are dirty, but im trying to point out something that a lot of ppl need to see. believe whatever you like, but sooner or later the facts are going to come together. u can even call me crazy, cuz that's what i thought when my friend showed me some shit that i thought was a bunch of bs. if you want facts, you can look it all up on google. why do you think america is the only country that spends the most money on their military? (except for maybe russia...but i dont think anymore).
http://www.wsws.org/articles/2002/oc...iraq-o04.shtml
good explination of the American foreign policy.
www.infowars.com
good information on what i really wanted to say.
you can also find similar info on other websites as well.
oh yea and my teacher back at the high school i used to go to, who used to be in the army, talked about a militarized police state that this country is gonna be in soon.
jus want to let more and more people know. call it BS if you want.
