Sickest Christian Beats - 07-11-2005, 08:43 PM

Before you say that the whole Christian thing is lame, open your mind and give this a listen:

Tobymac (Has some sick beats and meaningful lyrics), and KJ-52 (Check out his song, 5th element its lyrics are full of power. It raps about the four elements of hip hop. One verse for each element, the Fifth Element is Jesus Christ.)

if anyone else has any other groups or Christian beats for bboying, post them here.

"God doesn't play dice" -Al Einstein

I've been a b-boy too long to suck this bad.

TunnelRatz are pretty good. Can't name tracks, but saw one on TV not too long ago and it had a really nice beat to it. Been wondering what it was since.

A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.

There's just no point.

Yeah, I like Switchfoot (but I dunno about breakin to them), Relient K, HATE Hilsongs... but yeah. I think Reuben is TOTALLY overrated. I like "Diverse City" by Toby Mac, and "Tru Dog". It's so cute! ^-^
Anyway, even though I'm a Christian, I usually break to non-christian music.
An awesome warmup song (for me) is "Beautiful" by Thornley. If you're a drummer (like me) the drumbeat is SOOOO GOOOOOD!!! Thornley's drummer ROCKS!!! (they're not Christian)

How would you know if it was country? And why do you say "you guys" when only one person said anything about a warmup song?

The only conclusion I can draw is that you're the lame one, sir.

haha we're cussin in the Christian thread. I like Switchfoot, Reliant K, and Hawk Nelson, as well as some of the rappers, but I couldn't see breakin to them. I say dance to other things, but still listen to those.

I'm not religous, and I never stated I was. I also never stated that I dance to this music. In fact, I don't. Only one person in this whole thread said they danced to it, and even then they only said warming up. You're just pulling crap outta your ass for this.

Religion + anything else DOES NOT automatically mean it's bad. It doesn't mean it's good either, it all depends on the people.

Now, let's get to some reasoning, which you obviously aren't used to or just aren't intelligent enough to try and use. This post was put into General Discussion for a reason, and that reason is because it's about music, not about bboying. Why are you even here, anyway? Did you see the word "Christian" and go "YAY! I'm gonna go harass people!"

I like your vocabulary. Fuck, bitch, shit...you've got this whole "I'm an idiot" image going.

Yea...he's ok. I know his drummer....But for real though, if y'all wanna bboy to some christian beats, here's what's out there:

- TobyMac: (even though I hate his attitude and his wack flows, u gotta give it up to his funky beats)
- 4th Avenue Jones': one of the best underground groups around...period (not just in the christian world). I dare one of you haters to download one of their tracks (Respect, Main Event, Do Re Mi, Ro's, Mr Yayo, U Rockin - ft. Jurrasic 5, Stereo, Move The Crowd...) and prove me wrong.
- Keep digging for more underground gospel hip-hop: Tunnel Rats, Flynn Adam Atkins, Mars Ill, LA Symphony...
- Try Gospel!!: I've danced to Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton...they've all got some sweet tracks!
-Others: DJ Maj, Grits, New Breed, Brainwash Project, BBJay (his flows are sick..beats ar ok) and one song by The Cross Movement: Live Agua, or Live Aqua...i dunno (even though their rhymes are freaking dumb)

By they way, I've been a Christian my whole life. And I have a very strong commited relationship with God. But I won't listen to some untalented MC just because he's Christian (KJ-52). King_Nucleus...

If anyone else posts anything like "Gladiator" has done in this thread I'm going to delete the post.
I care not what anyone thinks or says about this - but it's unnecessary and abusive.

The hardliner is back.

www.sevstatik.com
www.tunnelrats.net
www.theprocussions.com

Just need to take a look at the audio/music sections on those sites for a taster. Take the time to find good music rather than just listening to wehat everyone else does - it pays to put the effort in as you can find some amazing music.
True of Gospel just as with secular music.

One.
