Hey bboys and bgirls!
I'v been away for a while with christmas and all.
Recently i have been looking at this beatboxing website, its pretty cool. i was just wonderin if any of you do it?

Cool, i beatbox quite a bit. I did a breakin show a few months back now, we had a beatboxer called A-plus. This is a pic of him, hes a dope beatboxer..

Xantos - I really don't think we need a beatbox board on here.

Personally I think the number of boards on here is beyone a joke, but there you go.

Trix - you use the forum on that site? I'm on there but ain't checked back in ages.

pu ti ka tika ka pu ka ti pu tika ka pu ka ti ( repeat)

i always do beats on tables too.

Scrit - I gotta say I don't fully understand your notation.

ka = rimshot
tika = hihat(closed) and rimshot combo

What is pu tho?

If it helps, humanbeatbox.com has tutorials by tyte, and the annotation he uses is excellent.

Come to think of it - even if i did understand the "pu" part, I can't see the rythm in that at all.

When you have a short sound, it's useful to use "-" to signify a break in the rythm.


Bm - t t Ka - t b Bm - t t Ka tss -


Bm = bass kick
b = muted bass (the Bm version comes from the chest wheras b is oral)
t = hihat (closed)
tss = hihat (opening)
Ka = rimshot

That's quite an easy pattern, but nice.

yah i beatbox mostly in the event of freestlye battles though. i do it in habbit though and got like rhazel style....i can scratch like that and shit with my beats. and a beat while singing. but mostly do it in event of a battle

I listen to rahzel alot, thas how i got into it really.
Even though i dont really like drum and base thas what im prob best at..
