I was at a dance for school and it was gettin pretty lame... b4 I had told one of my friends I was learning to break and she was all "oh cool, I wanna learn!" so at the dance she was like, "Go and start a circle start sumtin." but I am a newbie still and so I kept sayin "NO i have nuttin to do" and i'm a lil shy so I kept saying no..then she just pushed me into a circle... I didn't know what to do so- I started toprockin (I still need to clean it up a bit tho) and did a six step(need to clean up too) and then just a coffee grinder.
when I went out she was like what was that?! and laughed (referring to my six step) and so she was laughing at me for sumtin she made me do...it just bugs me!

just practise on the basic moves, concetrate on a couple of moves at a time, if not just 1 move.. Try and get it down and variations of that move(s) then try and get style with it, of course you'll have to have other moves aswell to concetrate on style so you can link them up and stuff nicely, but if you concetrate on gettin a move clean and smooth then move on to another then try and link them both somehow..
ite. . .so here is what u do. . .when u get in the krater, but what u kno .. .then try stuff u dont. . ..and at any school ive ever been to, the dumb asses dont know bboy from ballet. . .so they dont care. . .just as long as it looks like u kinda kno wassup.

now now now...this could be in the word up...that really sucks. she shouldn't laugh at you cause if she tried a 6 step I bet she couldnt do it...it's hilarious when non breakers try stuff...anyways back on track...learn some more shiat and then show her what u can do at ur next dance

y didnt u push her into the circle too?...or after ur dance,u point to her or grab her into the circle...she cant resist u,coz if she does,ppl will think she one hell of a loser!...and don't feel bad,if I am the crowd,u are not a loser at all...u have the guts to show ur dance...dats wat a champion is made of....
we all have a time when we're pressured to dance before we feel ready for it . It's alright and nobody here is going to look at you any the less for having gone through it. Moochy is right- it's all justmotivation to practice harder. If you're consistent with your practicing you WILL Improve and you WILL show people up one day - the people who had this idea that you were being silly and being wak , they'll see you dance and their jaws will drop . It's not magic. It's called dedication. Get some freezes, expand and tighten your footwork , keep on working at it and be patient. Don't give up , don't get mad, get even. Or better yet , get better.

non-breakers arnt going to be impressed by six-steps and coffee grinders, so just practice and get down some more stuff maybe a 1-handed airfreeze or even windmills, if you can mill they will all think you are a pro, trust me.
yea- i was mad at her! but i didn't show it to her face...

non-breakers expect some high flying tricks and the six-step just doesn't cut it. You need at least some nice ass poses or a windmill/1990. They want to be impressed by something they believe they can't do, and the six step (even though it takes time to make perfect) it looks like anyone could do it, but if you hit a flare (seems impossible to others) it is better. You could try moves that look like alot of work and put it into a combo, like toprock to six step to helicopter to swipe to helicopter to front roll to kick-up. That combo may give you some props and it is just alot of easy moves done impressively.
