Anyone break any bones? -
11-01-2009, 12:37 AM
I broke my fibula about two months ago[mind you, it's healed again] and I get this really wicked pain when there's a temperature/ large pressure change.
Does that happen to anyone else? |

Well i broke my Wrist bone a few years back...
It get sprain very easily now doing moves.. so i can tell its weakened. Doing everything i can to make it stronger or at least close to normal. Not really working but still trying, got high hopes it'll work. So yeah i guess when you break something, its never the same.. although i believe taking calcium and training that area will make it back to normal. |

Hmm, that's odd. Bones are suppose to come back stronger. Not that the actual bone itself is going to be stronger, but it's like building a calus, the bone is going to become thicker there, thus making it stronger. So assuming a person talks care of the injury and doing everything to heal it and doesn't do anything on it while it's broken, it should be stronger. But as far as tempurature change, that could be something different, I could research it..
It's the tendons that you gotta worry about. Whenever you sprain something, especially if you've sprained the same area twice, it's never going to be as strong :-/. I've only ever fractured my right wrist before (snowboarding) and I do 95% of my dancing on that right arm and it's fine so idk . |

Case in point, last night, the temperature dropped a good 10-15 degrees and a cool breeze rolled in. Next thing I know I have to sit down and hold back a yell because my leg is in agony >< |

I have broken both my wrists before, and my ribs and yeah occasionaly i do get pains but not very often. It's more that they are just really weak now, ( kind of contradicts the posts above, but i guess thats just my body, ( i looked after the breaks when they were healing but iv'e also sprained and fractured my wrists before as well, so probly has an effect)) it doesnt take much to damage my wrists and holding things like handstands long enough to variate stuff, like getting a holllowback or invert is a nightmare :/ x

I was too young to remember the whole temperature thing, but I broke my tibia and fibula completely in half when I was three years old. My arm was hanging at a 90 degree angle. Shit was wicked, son.
