Let me start out. I love steak, bacon, pork, chicken. O Lord I love meat.

Now besides the fact that you won't be eating proccessed animals, what is the benefit of no delicious meat? Why would someone want to be a vegetarian or vegan for that matter?

Correct me if I'm wrong buuut...I always thought a big reason people go vegetarian is because they don't want to be eating the "cute animals" being slaughtered at factories and stuff for our food.

Nutritionally speaking, there is a health benefit for a healthy diet that consists mostly of fruits and vegetables and very little meat.

As for vegetarianism/veganism, that's more of a moral/religious thing. I don't really see any tangible "benefits".

My friend went vegan for a month and said he was constantly hungry.

I have a friend who has diabetes and it's hard because it runs in her entire family. She is in super shape now, but the only way thatshe can keep it in check is by being vegan. I didn't know of any good reasons for it before I met her.

Benifits of no meat... well as one mentioned before lower risk of heart disease but... i don't know too much more than that. In fact it is more difficult to keep up the iron and zinc intake which is needed by the body.

Why someone would want to restrain themselves from meat?... well everyone has their reasons, one i see is they are too compassionate towards other lifeforms to eat them.

Those who do eat meat should at least be aware that these creatures are bred to die to feed us and the life they go through. if people had to get their own meat... damn, many ppl wud have a hard time eating meat.
