So people are going around saying Paranormal Activity is the scariest movie of the decade; some even say it's say it's one of the scariest movies of all-time. I'm a big fan of terrifying, horror movies but not one horror movie from the Jason series to the Grudge series to even the Exorcist has literally "scared" me up to the point where I would shake even a little or have nightmares about the movie. Critics have said this movie has literally left people shaking and that the movie is just damn terrifying. Really? I want to know what you think, especially the people who watched it. No spoilers please.

I haven't seen it TBH, but the scariest thing about this movie is that you never see what this is. Now, this may seem unimportant to you, but actually think about. In all of the movies you stated, and probably seen thus far, each evil is personified. There are physical characters like Jason, Freddie Krueger, the Exorcist girl, etc., that are supposed to "scare" you. The thing with this movie is... you're placed in this position where you're just watching what happens. You're a simple observer, this demon is haunting YOU, you're watching this thing haunt these two people without ever SEEING it, and after a while, you sort of sense that YOU'RE the demon. You're just simply watching these two people suffer, and although you're scared, you want to see more, which scares you even more.

Really, the thing that makes this scary is that there's no memorable face, no character, that is seen as the true antagonist. There's simply this demon, which manipulates surroundings, but you never see it, causing it to be much more mysterious, and, scary.

Most things don't scare me right away, but they do when I think about it at night when I can't sleep. LOL.
