Video game design?

Hey guys/girls
I'm trying to learn more about video game design
I've looked on a 100 sites and the only thing they give me is the stuff I
already know/read
I've got allthe basics down except programming and I've already gotten tons of projects on paper and finished pre-production
Anybody wanna help me out?
Do you guys know anybody in the industry or someone that could help me?

Game design takes a lot of work. If you're planning on doing everything yourself, you'll not only need to be fundamentally sound in programming, but you'll also need to have strong skills in 3D modelling, 2D texture art (to colour all of your models, objects and environments), writing (to "script" your game, and develop stories etc), Sound production (for your soundtrack, and if you want characters to talk - record your voice actors - something else you need to do if you're developin by yourself is the ability to speak as a multiple of different people with different accents/voices). You'll also need a game engine, unless you're writing one yourself. I used to be part of a team developing an MMORPG called Planeshift. All I can really say is if you're planning on developing a game by yourself then give up now unless you're planning to do something VERY basic and simple with outdated specifications. Simply put, up-to-date games take ALOT of work and a lot of hours to develop, it's simply too much for one person. I wish you the best of luck, but the best advice I can give you is to build up a team of talented individuals to help you out, or to get involved with one of the many volunteer-based development projects online and learn through doing.

Diamonds right and I am doing something small..im still learning to draw and program but their aren't many ppl who are in game design and know one wants to help

Google "Planeshift" and take a look there, you might be able to get on their development team and gain some valuable experience.
