Korea Thread - 06-23-2009, 03:02 AM

Following the model of the Cali thread, and from suggestions from other users I have decided to create a thread based on only the greatest country in the universe IMO, South Korea (dadadadum~~~)
Anything related to korea can be posted whether it's about kpop ("EX: SNSD NEW SONG WOO HOO"), Starcraft ("EX: Kim taekyoung would pwn any terran userXD protoss ftw"), korean food ("EX: Kimchi and Ramyeon FTW"), Korean Bboys ("EX: Bboy KYS is going to the army soon"), or anything related to korea (EX: Who wants to meet at Hong dae this saturday")

knock yourselves out

anything related to south korea? Welllll.. other than awesome bboys from korea or are korean...

The whole missile testing up in north, it looks very politically heated and there's some anger boiling. Think there's going to be a war? I relatively new to korea politics.

hope not

If you could compare Kimchi to a food that many American's have tried, what do you think it would taste like? I used to be involved with this Korean-American girl and she tried to get me to try it... I was too scared. And does it really have to ferment and everything?

it can't really be compared...but the ferment your thinking of might not be the ferment we think of....think of the fermenting of cheese when you make it, that's kinda like how it is for kimchi. but still the longer the kimchi has been made back, the better it is (especially if you cook it, cuz as it ages it grows a bit...sour)

BBoyInfest. Are you in Korea or coming to Korea this summer?
It's a great country, but not the best. Too many asian looking people.

I just got back from Korea a few days ago. The dance shows there are amazing. If you're gonna live in Seoul, I suggest you see Sa'choom, and also The Ballerina Who Fell in Love with a Bboy (or whatever that's called). It was my first time being at a live bboy show, and I was just blown away. The energy of a live bboy show is just amazing.

And its all about grilling meat on those little charcoal thingies. Best food ever.
I personally am not too fond of kimchi. But that's just me.
