Crews - 09-24-2003, 06:47 PM

I know that a lot of crews are important to be remembered as crews, like LPC or Detours or Vagabond.. but a lot of people I don't think of as members of a crew, like Wiggles. How important do you think remembering someone as part of a crew is, and if it depends, what does it depend on?

I am in my own little parallel universe, where feelings are movements, movements are existence, and the rhythm is life.

I'd say unless the person is involved with the other poppers/breakers, then they're a lone-player, and shouldn't be classified under a group. IE, if there's some popper, and the breakers do backflips over 'em and stuff, and the popper's involved, or Synchro-popping, etc.

It depends on if someone is in a crew/group or not. Wiggs is part of the Electric Boogaloos and Rocksteady crew. It's an essential part of who he is and should not be ignored. I dont understand really where you're coming from or what you're trying to say with this. There ARE ppl who are unaffiliated. You don't NEED a crew to be good.

your right, crews are never associated with good poppers.

Poppers don't get great on their own, they train and practice with people, and you see style influence on their dance, and even if they aren't a "crew" they help and influence eachother, its one of the most important parts of this dance, in my opinion.
