You don't need to have a greater popper to dance with to become great, or as great as you can be. Even though it helps to have others better than you to practice with, its not needed to reach closer to your potential. Having others that are better than you to practice with has its draw backs too. It should be used as motivation, but many start to LOOK like the ones they feel are better, and then start to loose their originality. This artform is not just a dance. Its a way for us to express ourselfs and the music thru dance. I want to express myself when I dance, not someone else. Back in the days we practiced alot in our garages, parks, at school, etc, and having others around there gave us the motivation to practice hard. But many ppl also practiced by themselfs, and then you would see them at a dance or something, and they would ripp that shit just as hard. If you practice everyday, with or without ppl of any skill level your skill level will increase, and so should your creativity. Its how much you put into YOUR dance that counts on how great your gonna get.
Peace and much Respect
