So despite my previous post.. I'm still having trouble, LOL.
I can hardly even practice the first part you describe, how you practice just getting up. I can do a forearm nike just fine.. but when I rollback I have trouble pushing myself up and I tend to roll on my shoulder blade and it hurts like a BITCH.. |

So.. no progress on this still. Every time I roll back and get up I can't just hold it in nike position.. and I must be still doing it wrong since all I'm doing is rolling off my right shoulder blade and making it hurt only further hindering my progress..

Anyways, basically the problem you're experiencing is quite common. I had the same problem when I was learning this move. You gotta remember that you need to push off of your upper back and kick your legs upwards. The rollback must have some power in it too because if you rollback all slow, you won't have enough momentum to get up onto your forearm. Remember to kick upwards with your legs and LOCK your back so you don't lose balance easily and fall down. Hand placement is also key, play around with the rollbacks and shift your body weight accordingly. You need to find the spot where you find balance most comfortable. Practice the steps in this guide and you should be well on your way ![]() Peace. |

It's all good haha I got time man. Yeah, I've made progress with the actual "Getting up" of the rollback, now my problem is locking my back, staying up and actually holding the "pose", (Right leg bent, left leg out) when going up. I can do the actual freeze no problem but when coming from a rollback my forearm tends to be on it's "side" rather than the typical bottom of the forearm if that makes sense.. bottom referring to the same side your palm is. Side meaning..when you put your fist with pinky laying on the ground/surface like you were getting ready to bang on it.

Lol, how would I explain how to fix that 'side' problem?
I would say, rotate your forearm all the way so your palm is flat and your forearm isn't on its side? o.O |

This is more of a rollback, one handed forearm nike problem which i can hold well, but most of the time the back of my head smacks the ground when popping up. honestly i dont feel any pain but im scared of some injury resulting in doing that alot.
anybody else have this problem? |
