Do the shoulder stretch 2, hopefully that'll get you to lose fear. But what are you so scared of? I've been doing airchairs for a while and theres not much thats scary about them man!

And Sum1datbboys, it personally took me about 3 months to actually hold a piked airchair! There's no need to hold airchairs for a bajillion seconds, in a battle 1-2 seconds is enough! haha. So the answer is around 2-3 months. But it all matters in how much time you put into it...

Here's an additional stretch for those of you whose shoulders are not that flexible (such as myself). Doing this stretch for a couple of weeks everyday will allow you to get into the normal chair freeze.

1. Lay on the ground on your stomach.
2. Place the hand you wish to stretch near to your body, fingers pointing to your toes, the elbow turned in and the palm of your hand facing the ground.
3. Now, if your hand is correctly placed, you can bend your elbow joint so the hand moves in a circular motion. Rotate the forearm so that there's a 90-degreeish angle. Your fingers are now pointing directly away from you, to the side.
4. Press your elbow towards the floor. The more you press, the greater the stretch. Remember to keep the elbow as close to your body as possible.

You can increase the stretch by rotating your upper and lower body away from the arm (twisting the arm backwards). Help to twist by pushing with your free arm. Be VERY careful NOT to overdo this stretch, because it can dislodge your shoulder. Start very, very gently, and sloooooowly increase the stretch.

Do this every day, holding the stretch for one minute at a time, then resting for 30 secs, and holding for another minute. After two weeks, you should have a much easier time doing the chair freeze and beyond

Kudos to Cliche for the nice guide

EDIT: Attached a picture of the starting position and the stretch itself.

hey, bboy cliche

idk wut happened dude, im hoping you can explain it to me

but fudge, bro.. my ELBOW is KILLING me. i was tryin it and i guess i kinda bent the wrong way or something, but my elbow is just hurtin. and the pain spreaded from there to a little bit on the right side of my biscept and a little on to my forearm, wrist, and shoulder..

well, i guess my point is.. since you experienced wid airchairs.. has this ever happened to you? or is there something wrong wid me? or did i SERIOUSLY mess up my arm (like seriously, not just stretching muscles.. but the joint!)

*i think i know when i really messed it up. here:
i was on a side freeze.. blew up to a forearm.. then wanted to fall back down on an air chair. it actually went down to another side freeze, thats when my elbow really bent out to the right side and my hand was still locked wid da floor.. and a lot of my body weight was on dat elbow, bro! uggghh.. idk if my explanation is understandable HAhahAH

(i use my right arm*)

thanks bro.. ill check back for replies..

Is the sweet spot suppose to hurt at first? I seriously cannot find it, does it go in the middle or lower back? the only place my elbow can reach is my lower back, and when i put weight on it, i like digs into my muscle.. i tried shoulder stretch 2, but i can't get my elbow into my back, or maybe it is, and i just think its my side, this is so confusing right now i'll see if i can get a vid or pic, but til then, any help
