Post Hepl with turtle position - 11-25-2003, 11:10 PM

Im very new to bboyin and ive been working on my arm strength. My friend got me into it and were sort of learnig together. I cant seem to hold my position when i try to turtle, i dont know where to place my elbows when i go up they slip out from under me. Please help!

Try puttin it on ur abs,it works for me...dun put it too far...especially ur waist area...hope that helped

The place you didn't suggest IS the place where you put your elbows.

You want to put them on the sides of your stomach so that you can get the most balance. Especially when you do the turtle, it's crucial, as you won't be able to spin when both your arms are right beside each other on your abs.

You don't see tables with both the legs close together right? Think of your turtle position as a table: the wider the gap of your arms, the more balance you have.

So, if you have abs, then put your elbows right beside them, like outside.

Open your legs, and lean forward a little, helps you from falling backwards.

hmmmm....maybe i gotta try it on my waist...haha...but the one on the abs seem to work for me...thnx aniways...haha...
