i think text is almost equally as important as audio... i mean as far as content in your liks... of course text doesnt translate to audio smoothly, and if you're an audio head you text a little differently... but whether you write then spit or vice versa it has some kinda flow on paper, and the same goes for spitting writtens. you just make it work.
plus, a lotta hella good peoples start off as textcees, canibus being the most notorious...

Major bumpage...
So, after I get my usb condenser mic and pop filter.. is it required to have headphones or do some people just use them for preference? And if I get headphones (for recording purposes) what are some good quality, affordable ones?
oh and how the FUCK do you add the damn mic to your cart on this site?

It's a good idea to have head phones rather than play the beat out of speakers. I can't recommend any though, cuz I'm not sure what I use when I record as my friend bought them and I didn't care to see what brand they were. I'd say go to a local music store that sells stuff like that and ask the guy who works there about them.

yes please get earphones.......when u lay your vocals down, your gonna hear the beat in the background plus the beat you are mixing down with......and if they don't match they are gonna echo or something bad...........get nice noise reduction earphones, the type with the soft padding so other people near you can't hear the music while u got em on.......sony is always reliable.......if anything ask a sales associate at the store, they got the info on em..........
so anyone seen those wireless earphones? the ones with the charging dock? i wonder if those are any good........they look cool, no wires to mess with........
hope that helps.......PEACE!!
btw i know i told u to get the padding type, but what i use is the simple earpiece types, like the ones u get with the ipod........but it works ok, listening to just my vocals i can't hear the beat thats coming out of the earphones......to be more professional the padded ones are probably recommended.....
Once while walking through the mall a guy came up to me and said "Hey, hows it going?". So I grabbed his arm and twisted it up behind his head and said "Now whose asking the questions?"

Yeah i have some fake sony ones from china. They say mdr-z500 on the side... but anyways theyre some of those big fuckoff ones that you cant hear outside of them, but i've used ipod type ones and regular headphoney ones and anything works really.

Thanks guys for the replies. I think I'll just get cheap padded headphones or something. I have some already but only one ear works because of the mp3 player being in my pocket from overuse lol.. all my headphones I use for my mp3 end up breaking the same way I guess because the part where it plugs in gets bent while in my pocket.
So, how do I add the mic to my cart? haha.

the usb condenser is always easy...can't say too much about quality but it's perfect for whut u tryna accomplish na mean. plus u dun wanna put too much gwop into it and not use it na mean...just get that and some decent noise blocking headphones...and a pop filter...and u straight.
