Wow... I hate these fools... - 10-13-2007, 04:10 AM

Shit man its like this, im at school and tell someone I write lyrics. Then in confusion they're like "what?" so I say, I like to rap, what happens??? 90% of the time, the person laughs at me with comments like; "Haha you think you're a black Filipino?" or other things like "OMG you 50 cent wannabe"... This shits getting damn annoying man, these stereotypes think only people of an African background can and are considered rappers... And I usually get the "you bboy, and dont wear 'bling bling' or wear baggy clothes, plus you're filipino, you don't rap". OMG im so sick of these stereotypes. And what annoys me is when I tell em, "I bet you know NOTHING of rap /hip hop and what it really means", then they start with the; "Man you ever heard Soulja Boy or Ay Bay Bay? Thats rap right there". Uhhh this make me wanna decapitate them sooo bad.

Does anyone else encounter shit similar to this?

Yea actually I've been on both sides of that. I mean yea obviously I'm black but I mean I defended other nationalities b4. I'll use my girl as an example. She's white(I don't wanna hear no shit bout that white, black shit, so get it out ya heads...too many people talk and think about it), and she raps. Wen I first met her, back in '04" she told me and I laughed at her. I was like, "What you know about Hip-Hop?? The songs on the radio??" Yea it hurt her, and I've apologized and made up for it. But because of that she nevers rap in front of me. She told me, "Even if I was famous and did a concert, I walk off the stage if I saw you watching me." That kind of hurt me, because she's tough as shit as a rapper, seriously.

And now I defensive wen I tell people she raps, or wen she tells people she raps, and they laugh and don't believe.

"Does anyone else encounter shit like this"

Ha, I assume that's a rhetorical question. Look bro, don't associate with people like that. If they're not your friends, don't talk to them. If they are your friends, they're faggots and you need to stop talking to them. Bring a mp3 player and big ass headphones so you can occasionally pump your jams out loud instead of through those bitch ass ear buds everyone has.

Listen, only compromise when you have the upper hand. You need respect. Make them feel dumb like I do. Ask them anything about hip-hop and prove to them that they don't know anything. Avoid fighting. Don't raise your voice or get angry, just be straight up.

Kill myself? lol j/p but yea I tell people that all the time, and what makes it worst is that shes a white FEMALE rapper, who takes after Jean Grae, not Lil Kim or Remy Ma. So she's Vanilla Hip-Hop LMAO but yea man just prove to them that you kno it. And if I was you I'd be like, "Yo..." Put a boombox 2 inches from their faces and put on full blast, "Learn Chinese" by Jin LMAO(I kno your Filipino but I mean it's Asian right?)

Man dont complain about the stereotypes dude....... Its gonna happen everywhere...... The same thing happened to me with bboying in gym...... They were playin around "Like you cant breakdance blah blah" and when I busted some fw and toprock they gave me respect....... In conclusion if you have SKILLS in ANYTHING you do...... Stereotypes will get broken down and you will get respect no matter what background you come from

Peace and keep bboying and rappin dude

Actually in my school, people are mad cool about my whole rapping thing. The only thing that gets annoying is once they find out they immediately ask me to rap for them. But other than that I don't get the whole, you think your black bullshit. Who cares what people think anyway, if you love to do something then who are they to tell you that it's stupid or you can't do it. Just keep writin and one day maybe they'll be workin at BK and you'll be kickin the flows and gettin the hos ^_^

tht last line was some serious M.Cing shit lol. (meaning it was good =P)

anywayz back 2 topic.. ppl at my skool generally dont use stereotype son me as a brown bboy or breakdancers as they like 2 call it, but the main problem with these fools is tht they listen 2 all the crank tht shit, and when i tellz them tht aint hip-hop they r like "yea it is omg U dont know hip-hop" and then when i ask them a simple question like "do u even know the 4 pillars of hip-hop?" then they reply with some gay retort like "pillars??? this aint a frigging religion" (they say this cuz at my skool islam is the most dominent religion and it has 5 pillars)
then i'd say " 2 real hip-hoppers it is" and then i'd walk away cuz its just a big waste of time...

and also they friggin call me showing off when i practice in the gym.. b4 when i had some1 2 practice with they didnt say tht, but now that im alone they think im jus showing off -_-

anywayz HelpMeLearn ur not the only one, jus know that u kow something they dont and will nvr know until they get rid of their ignorancy..

END RANT

peace easy

[insert witty hip-hop lyrics full of soul here]

Prove em wrong...spit some knowledge in the form of a verse...diss em and shove it in there faces...and tell em to shut the hell up...and if they makin fun of the whole pillar thing....say elements instead....

U cant change peoples view of what they think is hip-hop....you can but some ppl are way to ignorant...so screw em...u should be happy u got real hip-hop to urself
