sweatshop union licks balls... they're jus wack.. but IRs, Brassmunk and the rest ya mentioned are dope... but there's more cats that are ill:
Bless, DL Incognito, Saukrates, Swollen Members (i don't like them much anymore but they got skills)... Bishop, Riccochet (up and coming artists, they both pretty nice).. and yea more... my boys group "Usual Suspects" should blow up soon enuff... apparently they're filimg the video for their first single right now... they been doin lotsa mix tape shit lately too.. if you in the Vancity area ya need to check them out.. go to Beat Street and pick up some mix tapes.. i'll drop dates for shows in the thread Aura made... but anyway, Canadian emcees are startin to get more recognition and with all respect, usually stay more real to the game then the majority of American mainstream artists... i haven't heard one Canadian emcee totally sell out to the commercialization in the industry today... Canadian Hip Hop always had it's distinction, and keeps growing and improvin.. the amount of talented artists coming out of Canada (mostly jus the Vancity and Toronto area) keeps increasing.. and the talent and quality of their music is amazin... Canadian hip hop will never be as big or produce as many acts as the States, but the quality of each artist that comes outta here is sumthin ya can't ignore..
GO CANADA
peace.
