the last emperor has got to be one of the most talented and slept on Emcees in the world. no doubt. he finally dropped his album after years of waiting and making us salivate.
he initially started making noise back in like 98 on the underground scene with Style Wars 1. (if ya'll havent heard this, then ya'll are missing out. if you read underground hip hop reviews, you'll know this is one the most critically acclaimed indy released in years)
The Last Emperor finally released his long awaited album titled Music, Magic, Myth. I think ya'll should pick this up. shit is ill. cat is amazing with some rhymes. If ya'll arent sure about it, go read some reviews. do like a google search or something, pick it up.
just thought I'd give ya'll a heads up...

last emp is ill....me and foolish got to meet him at the jedi mind show a couple months back, dude has skill, i think he's foolish's fav mc, but i wouldn't say he's the most slept on though....i'd have to say the most slept on is either

Apathy (the badest cat wit akrobatery).......these are the illest mc's right now and Celph titled is producing insane beats....if ya'll haven't herd, peep these cats, they'll be sure to blow your mind, specially Immortal, most contorversial(sp?) mc spittin on the mic.....there's a bunch of other cats i feel people sleep on, but it's all good, ya'll just gotta keep your ear to the underground, there's sick cats out there you have yet to hear about...

necro + nonphixion (good choice zeke.. love them cats)
copywrite.. doesnt get enough props here.. he's ill
looptroop - swedish cats.. ill beats, include all four elements in their rhymes so if you're into graffing check these guys out
Cage - not too bad, kinda nerdy but some ill shit
Spooks - definitely different, backed by female vocals (sounds surprisingly cool, doesn't take away from it at all)

Rass Kass - thug emcee like nas (similar anyway).. lots of skill there too

but i think Zeke got it the best wit Celph Titled and Apathy... i love Apathy, the man's fuckin hilarious... he's ill... and Celph is jus insane... he got mad skills.... isn't Celph titled 'spose to be droppin an album soon? ...

but yea celph titled is droppin a solo john real soon...with help from demigodz of course....ya'll gotta peep that cd..Celph titled and Apathy are my favorite mc's....there's this one track called Devastating MC's w/ Esoteric, Celph Titled & Apathy....great track awsome fucking beat by celph titled.....
there's about to be mad shows around the philly area....first Aesop Rock with El-p and Mr Lif....then Atmosphere w/ Brother Ali and Micronots...then Louis Logic with celph titled (this is gonna be ILL)....then C Rayz walz...not sure who he's playin with but i'm hoping most of the Stronghold crew with be there....hopefully i'll be hitting all these shows up....
subject...i get down with some international shit like Supa Saian Crew from france and some other Canadain groups, but i really don't have much access or even hear about other groups....but i'm sure there's ill groups all over...you herd of Roots manuva or the Streets from England...they're pretty good
i could go on for hours about underground cats...i just can't wait to hit up these shows and find some new shit...

Zeke.. yeah i've heard of the Streets, he's pretty big over here too, but it'd be hard to call what he does hip hop. he's talking over a beat and occasionally, probably accidentally rhymes.. haha. nah, he's okay. But you definitely need to check out taskforce.. i could hardly believe their accents they were so exaggerated, but i guess they have such a variance over there in the UK.
With the Four Horsemen collab.. i was dissappointed to see Kurupt in there with the other acts.. his complexity is damn weak compared to KP and canibus, so it might be an awkward pairing there. It will be interesting how they will combine spirituality (KP), West coast g-funk (kurupt) and battle tracks (can) with Rass being the mediator in the mix.. should be interesting either way, but strange selection of artists for sure.

percee p is definately not slept on.....he got in on the new dj greenn latern mix and he's on the new Jedi Mind cd....and he's droppin a new album early next year....he's ok.
subject.....yea...that's wut everyone is sayin, Kurupt is the only odd man out....but i have a feeling everything is gonna blend smoothly.....i just can't wait to hear all of them on one track.....I herd of Taskforce before but never listened to them.....i think my boy has a vinyle....not positive though...but yea, i'll definately try to hear them

yea i saw that when it first was posted......and i still don't think he's slept on...he gets his props, ones that he deserves anyway, he's not all that great......have you even herd his first cd....it's got mad guest spots on it and he's toured with J5, Aesop, Rhymefest.....just because he ain't on MTV or the radio doesn't mean he's slept on....
