I'm not feelin' Jean Grae or Aesop Rock too much, but then again it could be cuz they're new and I didn't hear the right songs..

but I ain't sure if PROOF is underground, but he definately has some ill shit.. I'm surprised shady/after ain't running up his shit more cuz he has skillz

ahah 'skillz' is pretty nice too
benefit is crazy, that midget track kills me!

yo inf...or reflection, wutever, you gotta hear the track with Jean grae, pumpkinhead, and immortal technique, jean's verse in that will get you goin! and aesop isn't new man, he's first album droppen in like '97 LOL...listen to daylight, then listen to nightlight by aesop and you'll think differently!

and skillz is the man, i saw him 3 times in '03, i got to meet him and say wuts up the first time we saw him....and last time i saw him he did the 2003 rap up....he stole the whole show

but this new cat i've been listening to is killin it, and his album drops in April,
Insight ,
his newest vinyl "Seventeen MC's" is crazy....he makes it sound like 17 mc's are on the track but it's just him....it's really impresive

and Y@k Balls , the whitest white boy on Easter Conference is droppin his john later this month, peep that shit, it's gonna be real hot!

Big L free

Yeah awe i feel ya on the free might not be a freestyle as we know it. i knew you'd be able to give me some info.. you see a lot of them cats from around his time like nas, jay z, etc all think freeing means a verse not yet on wax, that's what i wanted to find out most, whether he was going off the dome or not.. whether or not, it was ill..

Damn I like some wierd-ass cats. I've taken a liking to DZK off of Soundclick - that guy has range. Can't top Schizo da Maddcap tho - check out "Quest of Rosa" on click if you get a chance.

Buck 65's worth a peep if, like me, you like really wierd shit.

Looking forward to hearing more of Zack de la Rocha's solo stuff - tracks with Roni Size, KRS and DJ Shadow have all been hot shit so far. Hope to see more of that shit.

While all my city is heavy I drop elephant shit
Smeared the face of the fascist priest's pulpit
So to the mayor may I, say I
Endorse the wholesale murder of your force of course
Cause peace is a myth in New York
Burning white rocks, got caught
Don't choke, if ya just smell smoke,
I dip my tongue in gunpowder & then I clear my throat
The Aggravator, true shit spitter
Mobb like Goodie while my hoody hides my eyes
The critics rush me like, Salman Rushdie
As I, enter the center of the storm with Size

Ya Big L is mad nice and that really was a freestyle. He did that live on Stretch and Bobbito's radio show. Also, he worked with Killa Cam and Murda Mase a lot the Children of the Corn was their group actually and Cam had a nice flow back then. The group consisted of Cam, Mase, L, McGruff, Bloodshed, and Digga. You guys should check this new guy outta Chicago his name is Diverse and his LP is One A.M. this guy is dope. Great flow great rhymes and he had RJD2, Madlib, and Prefuse 73 produce his beats. Then there are these guys called Blurred Insight, google them and you'll find their site they pretty cool as well. Let's see here...I know this guy isn't slept on but check out MF Doom, he's the master at concept albums, you gotta get his Operation: Doomsday album. Also, Masta Ace is soooooooo dope, Eminem adopted his flow from Ace. This guy is an old schoo legened check out the albums Disposable Arts and Long Hot Summer. His whole career is underrated. And I know this isn't underground but I HAVE to give this a mention, check out Masta Killa's No Said Date album. This brings back the old Wu-Tang sound and Killa is so nice on the mic. If Guru was a Wu-Tang member he would be Masta Killa.
