While everybody was partyin on New years eve
niggas didn't even think about people like me
I was on post
M-16 in my hand
didn't give a damn
protectin people back in the states
from here in Japan
long as my sister can grow up wit no fear
I'll live my life in peace year after year
now listen here
Marine Corps life is hard
you get out what you put in an theres no fancy cars
we live a simple life
give us food, clothing, shelter and we'll be alright...

shit, gotta get back to work
later

it pains in the worst way/ when times are fueled by terror/
bitches dropping bombs/ peace trudging nearer to rarer/
nobody notices error's being made by none the more fairer/
and when war comes in/ decisions are made by the bearer/
of the missles and bombs/ no matter the reason its wrong/
raise your hand if you want to go to war young like Vietnam/
killing innecents/ civilians/ and little kids to win tha race/
we're bringing in democracy/ we all know that isn't the case/

then whats the case/ soon need to move to another place/
cuz destruction reigns on our special space/
no more earth thanks to the human race/
missles and bombs goin boom and causin tombs/
over everyday society death looms/
political showdowns over the globe like high noon/
nuclear war bringin certain doom/
because of "dubbya" goin ta war outta the womb/
if the kids are the future than we'll have to stay tuned/

Childhood, gone for good, what's left of it now?/
Got every kid on this thread understanding my sound/
So what that say, about our youth today?/
That we're all cynics in the clinics from games we play?/
Gotta say, if we really are the "Youth of the Nation"/
We do best to hide low and be patient/
Cuz when we grow up, and blow up, and show George Bush/
That we're the "Youth of the Nation" and we're not to be pushed/

Yeah, straight up, we tha young'ns of this nation
We're your future, the next generation
don't influence us with drugs and guns
it'll just lead to crackheads and puntured lungs
cuz these days, nobody's safe out on the street
women and children buying guns cuz they gotta compete
got kids in gangs, still haven't made preschool
shootin from they trikes, circlin like whirlpools
little kids knowin guns betta than they daddies did
"That's Timmy, he's cute, but don't make mad this kid,
I hear you could die from the wounds he inflicts...
here's the shocker, he's not even six."

and blow more heat right to it; fan the flames till it grows/

Blaow. The music that a gunshot makes.
The percussion of the bullet and the life it takes.
The "ching" of cash registers, blood money flows,
The repercussions, no-one cares, or no-one knows.
The cold gat strapped, whack packs of hood cats,
The ratta-tat-tat and the scarlet blood splat.
From white skin comes red,
From black skin, the same,
The warriors lie among the dead,
The fallen die in vain.

Peace.

why possess such obscurity?/ its as if u hav sold yo self to immunity/ so much bloodshed, no mo' purity/ yo acts sent ya to tha bottom of yo hierarchy/

reminiscin tha past, u wer such a cute boy/ sadly nuff u grew up wit a gun as yo toy/ the only means wuz to be coy/ betta end yo lyf story, im gettin annoyed.../

as shown by the events of 9-11/
all Purity saved for Angels in Heaven/
at age seven, shootin guns for fun/
now from the cops he runs through the slums/
where he lives, bears witness to this crack buisness/
doesn't listen, packin a glock and a knife/
will fight twice and doesn't hesitate to take a life/
just cuz the world fucked up don't make it right/
black on black crime skyrocketing, kids kidnapped at night/
planes crashing people staring in horror and fright/
these events take their toll of pain, like a stain on a vain soul/
want to see suffering, sit back and let the news reel roll/

I just read everyone's and it touched me so i posted, to let you know that above all else each and everyone of your rhymes touch me(cept monkey)
here's my contribution.

A tear in my eye, best believe it...
....I wanna cry, stead i'm gonna weave it
Use my pain anger and suffering...
...Turn my lyrics into a release, i'm hearin mother's sing:
"My Son, my daughter, my sister, my aunt....
...Why'd you have to die, that wasn't apart of God's plan,
how the hell, am i gonna get by, without you by my side....
...My eyes might be closed but my hearts open wide
When the time comes for me to go...
...I hope you'll be there and show.

No gain without pain, its the sad truth of life...
...my stomachs bubbling, I can't take this strife
I'm this motherfucking close to taking this knife...
...Right through my skin and into my wife
Cause no one deserves to live anymore...
...The world is forever torn with terror and war.

yeah, mah stomach did bubble/ clenched it hard as i saw tha towers crumble/ fucked up planes that made it tumble/ look at us now, aint we humble?/

true that but we still got our heads up/ aint backin down even if they said "shut tha fuck up"/ retaliation is what's up/ their graves is where they'll end up/

America, go ahead and be proud/ say ur prayers before u say it aloud/ "We're ready to battle, we're juz lyk bloohounds/ huntin preys in cities, ghettos, and towns."/
