okay so i have a question for yall -

how do you work past a writer's block???

i know every block is different and people work in different ways but i'm at a HUGE emotionally-based writers block and i have so much i want to get off my chest but when i sit to write i just stare at the paper and end up walking away from it.

and also i know this has been asked/stated before but where is a good place to look for beats?
what khaled said works but people have different methods

me... shit i just get away from my day to day... as in.. i take a drive somewhere i havent been in awhile

take a walk listening to just beats... watch a movie... anything that would get me nostalgic or making me reflect. Just have a day to yourself and it should be good by the end of it.

If you said it live, it'd be way different than if you've thought it through. Plus, is it a closing punch or an opening statement? Plus, what made you think of that??

flipino and poison - for future reference, discussing lines and verses written by you is more appropriate in the feedback thread.

and thank you to everyone who gave input... i went through soundclick last night and dl'd a handful of beats that "spoke" to me... but is there a way (besides paying) to get some without the tags??? or to soften the tags?? or can someone point me to a better place to get some?

PEACE!! =o) ...cee

Shadowville.com

I'll just start off by saying the majority rappers today have no intention of supporting hip-hop culture. If you don't support the culture, then you aren't really hip-hop.
