Hahaha Laboy is alright, been better in the playoffs as have the whole Card's defense. Whats the deal though with Hawaii's football team? They always have tons of passing yards and TD's because of their style of offense, but they only play scrub ass teams. I mean they would not only get more respect if they played better teams, but also what big name recruit would not want to go to Hawaii for college if they had a decent chance at winning it all? Also if i was coach of, let's say Penn St., Michigan, Boston College, or wherever, Hawaii would be a nice "road game" in the dead of winter. :-)

it's a long trip, especially from the midwest/east coast........if i had a decent sized program, i wouldn't really wanna take that long trip out there, your players could easily get in vacation mindstate, and they have a good offense but aren't typically ranked real high, so it'd be a real losable game, bout you wouldn't gain much from winning, so i prolly wouldn't wanna go there unless i was the coach of a school like san diego st, or fresno or sutttin haha.....

its true though, nobody wants to play on the islands, especially teams looking for a win, Hawai'i is pretty damn good in the islands........we have had a few scared teams buy out of their contract games, texas, michigan state......but we do well enough to bring in some quality teams to the bowl games, like when we KICKED ASU's ASS......lol......this past year our Offense was pretty bad, we are used to 400 yard games 40-50+ points but we just had a coaching change, June Jones left the islands to SMU, another fix me up school......we promoted our Defensive Coordinator from the Sugar Bowl team to Head Coach, hoping to continue some success, did well enough for the Hawai'i Bowl.....June Jones was also Offensive Coordinator when he was Head, now its a local guy named Ron Lee......he's been apart of the Run n Shoot beginning at UH........don't know if it was his fault or just lack of talent on the Offensive side, but the Defensive side was all HC MacMackin.....like how June Jones did he called all the Defensive plays........our defense was pretty animal, David Veikune is the frontrunner of the NFL bound players.......we also got two beastly LBs, and a fast DB and a DT that is about 6'3 280 with 20% body fat, and the dude said he wants to drop that to 10% but gain 10 more pounds or something.......thats manimal right there........Veikune is like LaBoy but with a stronger motor, we got a pretty sick recruiting class shaping up, so next year im hoping will be a lot less frustration......

now the basketball team WTF is up with them!

Yeah i know that just because you can score lots of points, doesn't mean that you are good. But thats the reason i asked about the teams they play, because you can't get ranked unless you play some kind of talented teams. But i feel ya on the travel thing, and no bye week in college.

Speaking of Basketball, if you want to see a college b-ball game, you need to come to Philly and see 2 teams of the Big 5(Temple, St. Joe's, Drexel, U of Penn, and 'Nova) play in the Palestra. The Palestra is one of, if not the most, historic basketball building still in use today. Man, when you walk in that place, you just FEEL the tradition.
