The REAL 1 step (VIDEO) -
09-10-2007, 06:29 PM
Right... No more 1 step = helicopter >_< it aint !
You know the first step in the 6step move ? the one where you are sitting like taking a shit in the woods ? from there... you do a full 360 with your legs, and jump back on the same step... My video isnt great because i have an injured foot and 3 weeks without any b-boying whatsoever... so i couldnt even get a full turn o_O i hope you can see what im trying to though... AND NO THIS ISNT A MINIFLARE EITHER >__<

It takes an athlete to breakdance, but an artist to be a bboy.

Your just doing a sloppy 2 step, aka baby swipe. (sloppy probably because of your foot then if you want to use that as an excuse)
but that move your doing, your just swiping your right foot over to ur right side jumping and landing back on your right foot first and then switch to your left and then repeating, Thats a 2 step or baby swipe. your just keeping your 2 step facing foward.
sorry thats not a 1 step.
(oh and if you wanted to know where the 2 steps are,
start in the 6 step position (csquatting position watever) swing right leg over jump land on right leg, (ONE STEP) then you bring your left leg down (TWO STEP) (or for most people, they switch legs, but its still the second step)
and now why one step is also a helicopter coffee grinder etc.
6 step position swing right leg over jump land back in 1st position (ONE STEP) (or for most people they continue swinging their leg)
this is all for CCW btw
haha wow that was longer than i expected, just wanted to say, thats not a one step,

What I saw was an interesting (but sloppy) 2step variation...
... if you didn't have that extra step you'd be doing a variation of the coffee grinder/ball and chain/helicopter/1stepwhateverthehellyouwannacallit that just goes higher in the back...
I'm entirely not convinced that this is any different than the already known/accepted 1step.

aw dont bag on jp, he always has cool stuff to say/ share. Neways i think it looks pretty cool for such a simple floor move. Call it what ever you want... a 2 step, or a modified coffee grinder, or a onestep, doesnt really matter lol. Add it into a 6step or before a mill or freeze to spice things up . Gj jp, hope that foot heals up.

its generally not a move in itself... its a go down or transition, not something to be done repetitively

this is retarded, first of all, there is no godamn 1 step. Theres I know know of 3,6, and 12 steps and Im the best bboy on the set. And if it only took 1 step then it wouldn't even be a footwork pattern it would just be a tech. And you didn't even do anything in your video that required 1 step!!!! The closest thing to a 1 step is a swipe, and you are basically TRYING to do a stupid kind of swipe.

i saw a few gamblers videos of instructional video's on those steps.... actually all of those except the 8 step... unless the preteens on this site (i loled at that btw, cause it is a great term for them on this site) told the gambler's how to do it, i dont think they are made up.

i'm not tryin to flame by sayin this but...
don't tell me you think you're some amazing bboy yet you've only heard of 3, 6, and 12 step. 4, 5, 7, and 8 step are pretty much just 6 step variations but they are their own moves and they do exist and are done by bboys and bgirls. and come on, you've never heard of a 2 step? does that mean baby swipes are nonexistant? cuz 2 step=baby swipe. so theres DEFINITELY a two step... there's no way you can deny that one. 4 5 7 and 8 step arent all too common it seems but they are real moves and so is the 2 step. do a little research before you start telling everyone your the "best bboy on the set." and also, how can someone who doesn't even break make up a move? to me that doesn't even make sense. but whatever... i guess your entitled to your own opinion.
