i think thats pretty good but then again i'm pretty easily impressed when it comes to bboying cuz i'm like the best (and practically only) in my town (as far as i know) and i stink. lol

good job imo... keep practicing though.

quick question though... whats that drop called that you did to get into your 6 step? i'm totally spacing out right now.

oh and i don't think your doing it wrong... it looks right to me anyways, i think you just need more practice.

It's a Knee drop.

Ok you understand the basic principle, now you need to clean it up. Raise your hips, get on the balls of your feet and KEEP THEM under your ass. Make sure you're hips are moving in a full circle, focus your weight on your arms but use the momentum to keep your weight in motion to minimize the weight your arms carry.

If any of that is confusing I can try to go into more detail, but honestly you'll begin to figure out most of it as you just keep practicing, some things you just can't explain to someone who hasn't felt it for themselves yet.

I'm just another up-and-comer paying dues.
I think I'm possibly the slowest learner on all of bboy.org haha.

thanks MaDD for clearing up the drop thing... someone told me it was called a corkscrew but that didn't sound right. I had thought it was a knee drop until then. guess i was right...

Not sure if somebody said this yet, but when you sweep it looks like your doing a hook.

afaik Corkscrew's spin. I've always been told that a spinning knee drop is a corkscrew but apparently its under contest elsewhere so I'm not going to claim that. The alternative which is probably correct is a spin with both feet planted which can(?) drop into footwork leaving you with one leg hooked around the other as if you came down in a knee drop. (probably the reason for confusion)

It's safe enough to go with the Ness definition, I don't think anyone's gonna argue with Ness.

Peace

Dude ANYWHERE you look at any guide its going to tell you to sit on your heals and have your upper body vertical, crouch position, not crab. But you didn't do this, I don't know why this is so hard for so many people to understand. Practically anyone you talk to will tell you this is the most important and #1 mistake in footwork yet people still just don't listen. If you understand what you have to do to correct your form but your having troubles just say so and I will try to help, but I think you put this up to be judged maybe a little too early because Im gonna have to give it a 3/10. I give you 3 for actually doing a 6step, but man you ignored the only 1 requirement to do it properly.

1. Get on your FINGERS 2. WHIP that leg during step 4 3. Do 20 in both directions everyday with correct form 5. Sit on heels blah blah blah 6. DONT EVER have both hands in the back on the floor at the same time!!! When you get those? Youll be master of 6 step yo.
