You can post it wherever. This isn't really being used for discussion atm so feel free to post it here. If you want more feedback post it on the footwork forum. I'm starting to think we should make a "video critique" and sticky it up top. Most vid critique threads only make it to a few posts before they die anyway.

Hey, i have a quick question, when doing footwork, does putting your chest out, as in not sagging your back help? Cuz when i watch myself do footwork, my back is kinda leaned in, and my back is like sagged. Kinda like \ instead of chest out said. When doing footwork, what should you do with your waist up? No one has really mentioned this... -___- lol i feel stuupdi

The hunching thing is really about awareness and will clean itself up over time. Just be aware of it and try to prevent yourself from leaning forward. More or less your back should be "straight". And by straight I mean not bent over like a horseshoe. Whether you "lean" or not will largely depend on what you are doing and personal comfort. That, however, makes things a bit complicated...so for now just concentrate on keeping your back from hunching over. If you focus on that, you will find your natural comfort zone and it will be all gravy. |
