Finger question of bboying! - 07-11-2006, 03:42 AM

I fractured my pinky finger about 5 months ago, it was a boxers fracture in which the bone slammed inwards into the upper part of the arm, i punched a concrete wall with most of my pink force and it jammed up, i got a cast and yada yada got it ehaled and the doctor says its recovered.

However i read the thread in which it said that to do footwork more effectively do not use the palms but the fingers and i saw the pictures and yada yada, however i fear that if i do this that the pinky but fracture it self again. when i do jus a regular pushupstance with the correct way of using ur hands i feel pressure on that pinky, is this going ot hold me back from doing fast footwork?

THanks in advance and whoever read all of this

Edit: I forgot to mention that a normal clenched fist on the pinky area is flat, however my right hand pinky when clenched into a fist has a bump where the knuckle is, I didnt fractuce the pinky but the knuckle of my pinky, jus trying to clarify, it bumps up.

It depends if you are to do your footwork with your fingers other than your palms. Both methods work, however i prefer footworking on my fingers because... actually i don't know.. i feel kinda faster XD But if the pain is too unbearable then just use your palms. There's no use of injuring your pinky more than it already is. Some injuries can be permanent, like in my case, my left knee has a tender spot on it where whenever it makes contact with the ground really hard, it will hurt A LOT more than how my other knee lands. That's why when I do knee drops to link into my footwork, i try to do it carefully. And since my old knee pads don't fit on me anymore, i got nothing @.@ hope this helps.
