6-step -

Im still new to breakin- its gettin there... slowly...
Ive gotten decent at the 6-step, but its still a long way from anything like I want it to be. I was hoping some people could give me some advice on it as Im havin some specific problems -First of all, I rotate.. Im getting one hand down a bit in front of where it should be and its screwing me up so that I end up turning my body about 30 degrees clockwise each time. I think this is actually due to my second problem -I keep getting bunched at the end, I realize I need massive extension of my legs for it to look right, and I extend around, but if my legs are too far out, I cant get my leg to sweep in... overall, I end up getting all bunched up and theres no room for me to switch hands. I know theres a lot there, dont really worry about specific parts too much- but could someone PLEASE give me some tips on getting good extension while still hitting all of the steps with some rhythem to it? Thanks! |

ok , to first problem ... it's not really a problem
some people turn the way they face a little after each rotation , and some stay up fronting the same side all the time . it's a personal preference . after a little practice you'll can do em both . to the second problem ... you're body need to be moderatly open , not too much bunched and not too much extanded - something in between . don't keep your legs stiff and locked . don't be lazy , lift your ass up . move smoothly - each step pushing the other . what i mean is when the leg get into her position you should already get the next leg moving - that will prevent you from getting stuck |
