What's this move...? -
12-20-2003, 11:19 PM
I'm sure that a lot of you have seen the movie Wildstyle, and I'm just wondering, what's that footwork move that's done like every time that one of em gets to the floor? They start on all fours with their feet in front, and then they like spin one of their legs around while the other jumps over it and they flip and face the other way and do it over and over again. I'm just wondering what the move is called cuz I do it a lot, although I have not not once seen it performed in any modern bboy clips. Your help is appreciated.

Oh yeah, I have a better description. Basically, it's like a coffee grinder, but you like spin 180 degrees each time you kick. It's hard to explain, but it looks really cool, and I'm trying to find out what it's called if anyone knows.

variation -

actually your right , a semi-coffe grinder is involved, but this is actually a variation on the real 6-step and is their basic footwork which is regional and why they do it all the time. when mills were one of the only power moves, this was developed as a quick way to dump yourself over your shoulder and into a mill right after the foot passes under.

yeah my boy chucky is right, it's called 3 step. you see the sweep action, the 180 turn and plant, then an extra kick. 3 steps.
1) sweep 2) Turn Plant 3) quick kick |
