Ok everyone, theres a dance commin up this commin friday at my school and i need some advice. Ok, last October at the halloween dance I did some bboyin, and its fun how people awed at me doin my six step, i mainly did it cause i was nervous and it was like the only thing thats really easy and i can do well, i did windmills pretty bad but now im barely any better so i might never do those at the dance cause i dont wanna look bad, are there any other moves, me as a beginner can do that would look cool?
I can't do maybe more than 2 rotations on a mill, maybe 2 if im LUCKY I still havnt gotten it yet so i guess mills are outta the question. To get into my 6-step... I just like step around in a circle makin my body face forward the whole time...feels kinda n00b like since thats what the other people who break a bit do. Is there anything i can do to get into my 6-step, other than steppin around in a circle? I can do mostly everything beginners do like coffee grinders, 6-step, one hand freeze for like 2 seconds , broncos, barely grasping mills now, hand-spin, head spins i can spin around very slow, but when i drill legs i do about 1/2-3/4 of a spin before i fall. I wanna try and look like an ok bboy at the dance...plz post sugestions on moves I should do....there isn't much time at all till the dance. |

yo i had a dance last thursday and it was OFF DA HOOK.
I'm only in 7th grade, but im actually as good(some ppl better) as some of the much older ppl out here on bboy.org. Some good comboz for newbs (not sayin that u r) are: My footwork: do toprock, get into the 6 step straight from the sweep(thats how i get into them, it looks less boring), then do 4 then 2 step. Do a couple coffee grinders, do 1 rotation of 6 step and then right when u do ur sweep kick hard, jump over ur foot like a coffeegrinder, and go into a turtle freeze. Stay there for 2 seconds then do a turtle. Dont try the turtle if ur not good at it though. That was one of my comboz, it wasn't great but it was better than any of the other newb 7th graders could do and most of the 8th graders. Try to do sum windmillz dude. Right when i got to the dance i tried 1 windmill, it didn't look all great cause i wasnt use to the ground (im used to carpet) but then i did some pretty good fast millz. I did sum non stabbing millz which really made me feel great, cause it was my first time. PM me if u need sum more tips or anything, hope i helped. Do ur best man! Have sum variation in ur moves. Also don't do too much of the same stuff, cause then it will get old and u won't look as good. My breaker "friends" (not really my friends at all experienced that first hand. Well GOOD LUCK!! ![]() |
