Can you help we wit the Coffee Grinder?????? - 11-27-2003, 09:39 PM

I cant seem to do a coffee grinder when i swing my left leg around i always hit my right leg and i like trip and stuff how can i do it rite???? PLZ HELP!

Maybe it's not plugged in? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

The most common problem is hand placement. You probably have your hands in the back, they should be infront of your feet.

When you swing your leg to the back, lean forward to make your body more horizontal. Not COMPLETELY horizontal, but if your body is vertical, your leg would have to stretch back behind your body perpendicularly.. which is very uncomfortable and takes too much flexibility. If you just lean forward, put your weight on your hand or hands, whatever toots your whistle.

thx for the help i think i got it now. yo since iam a newb what other moves should i learn? i know the 6 step worm coffee grinder and thats like all so any suggestions?

You should un-learn your worm. learn the turtle position, and start doing crickets or turtles or something. Stretch a lot now so you don't have to force yourself to stretch like crazy later when moves require more flexibility. And I'm talking about stretching your wrists, hams, quads, hip flexors, shoulders and lats. That should cover it.

you can also start practicing baby freezes, headstands, handstands and stuff...they will help to build up strenght for future sets/freezes and other moves

hey thanks for the tips... I was about to ask then i saw that it was already posted... I think ill be able to get it now... lmao, Im trying to get it, but since i suck and just started, I cant quite get enough air, so a few times ive found myself bouncing on my ass... haha... o well, what can i expect, first couple of attempts with proper instructions...

Yes my Av sucks. I'll change it, in good time.

I dont do power moves because I cant. Yet my breakin still looks good. If you have style, toprock / footwork can replace power, because its more free... its more expressive. And people who break wont care that you cant airflare into headspins with 10 perfect tracks, because most powerheads are people who dont breakdance, and dont understand breakdancing.

White man cant dance? Heh. Now that i break i just do toprocks at school dances. Funny.

I almost have coffee grinder but I keep rotating. After I do like 7 or 8 sweeps with my leg, I've turned all the way around. What am I doing wrong??
