This topic is about footwork...
Cause while reading this it seems many people dont know what it is.
Why do I think that ?

How to moonwalk ,how to glide

WTF ???
This is not considered as footwork.

That's why I made this topic.
Any experts around, please tell these guys what footwork is about.
I'm not considered to be an expert (more like a n00b),
but I'll post somthing once I can.

Yea, the guy that made that thread don't know what he is talking about. Footwork is like 6 step's and similar stuff.

Footword is "downrock", this is when u are stepping or breaking to the beat using your legs in a crouched position supported on your hands. Some examples are 6 step, 3 step and CC's.
There are plenty more variations of footwork and u could easily make up your own (just make sure its good)

So what is footwork about ?

To start of...
Footwork can also be called downrock.
It's often confused with popping and locking.
(don't understand why really, it's totally different)

The basic value of footwork is STYLE.
That's why you can make up your own footwork.
It can be really cool tho.
You might find a lot of good stuff in the gallery.

The moves of footwork are all on the ground.
That's why its called downrock.
It's like dancing on the ground,
playing around on your feet.

It also contains some pre-made moves.
The most known are :

• Six-step
• Seep
• Switch

You find a lot of guides here,
these are the basics .
With some fantasy and skills you can make up own variations.

After practicing a while you should get the hang of footwork.
And if you look around on this site you'll also get what footwork really is about.
Actually I think it's the most important thing.
