Angry turtles.... - 12-26-2003, 04:32 PM

im having real trouble with them...i keep doing them though.... but it just feels like im stabbing myself with my elbows i try to balence myself but never turns out rite.......i cant even get in the rite positions.......what are somethings i can do to practice them better?

first of all...are you trying the spin or the freeze??

anyway...for the turtle freeze you stab both elbows in your gut and put ALL your weight on them so you can hold yourself up...learning the handglide freeze will give you the basic idea. change around the places where you stab. its alot about balance so just keep practicing til you gain some balance.

Hm...both the freeze and the spin are the same when it comes to balance...the difference is that u need to learn to constatnly stay above ur hips while ur moving

the handglide position and getting use to it, is bad...gives u bad tendencys for turtles

Beginners giving beginners tips without understanding what they are saying is probally one of the worst ways to spread KNOWLEDGE.....which is the key to anything in life.
