cant rotate around to other hand -
12-13-2003, 04:51 PM
i dont even know if im doin turtles right, i'm doin them off of videos.. etc. but i can barely get half a rotation outta it, i start in a turtle freeze (for now, till i can combo it with stuff) and put my weight to one side, then go to spin off my right hand onto my left (umm... my head is going clockwise lol) and when i get onto my left hand, my wrist just collapses.. is there neway to fix this, or to make it less painful for my weak arm?

make sure your left arm is perpendicular(straight up and down) to the ground. If you can't support your weight on that arm this is probably the reason...eventually it won't feel so weak.

Vin Diesel and the Internet - relation? I THINK SO
Vin Diesel invented the internet while trying to steal cable TV. Contrary to popular belief, it was in fact Vin Diesel who invented the internet. Al Gore stole the designs when Vin fell asleep at his keyboard. http://www.4q.cc/vin/index.php |

well, i can hold a turtle freeze (both arms stabbed) for a long time - my problem is i dont breathe, so my face turns red, i look kinda sad, and i cant breathe lol, so i gotta work on that, but i can hold it for a long time, but i feel as if my weight is on my right arm, and i dont really know how to transfer it right, and when i do i always just fall cuz my wrist cant hold it... is there anyway besides holding the freeze to improve wrist strength?

does your arm just kinda slide towards the ground?? because this means your arm isnt perpendicular. If you want wrist strength do handglides on your left arm and bring your legs in to put all the weight on your hand, or do handstand pushups against a wall. You gotta breathe...if you don't breathe your turtles will be shit...so just work on breathing while in the freeze

arite... i'll practice breathing lol (sounds kinda funny) and i gues i'll just slowly put more weight on my left hand.. but like, i cant even do a normal handglide freeze on it, thtas how weak it is.. and yeah it kinda feels like its just sliding into the ground.. so i'll work on it - thanks
