Smile Wanted to know a few things about turtles - 09-20-2003, 02:20 AM

Hi, I am as new as you can get to break dancing, started yesterday and all I can so is top rock and 6 step, not a lot I know =D I've been browsing this forum and read a whole lot about turtles and I want to nail it cuz you can combine it with practicly any move LoL.

Anyway, turtle freeze is when you get on two hands in the turtle position but you don't spin or walk or anything like that right? If that's it then I can hold that for 25 secs max, I only had today to practice so I know that's nothing. I was wandering when should I start to move back and fourth cuz right now it seems like it's impossible to =[

Also how long does it usually take to start spinning so I know if I'm doing ok at whatever point. Another question, when you're in the turtle freeze position how high do your face and knees have to be from the ground cuz mine are almost touching, I'd say like an inch or so (I think it's cuz I got small wrists =B)

I would also really appreciate it if someone could show me a slow turtle cuz all the videos I've seen so far are fast and I can't really see how people start out or where their hands are at.

Well, that's it hope I get an answer soon.

Start spinning right now, it doesnt matter when you do it, starting sooner is better tho

ur face n legs will be higher depending on ur body, if ur a small person ur gonna be lower but try to lift urself up more. even if ur small u shouldnt be EXTREMELY low.

Dont bite the hand that feeds u, eventually everyone helping u will get annoyed...jesus.

Beginners giving beginners tips without understanding what they are saying is probally one of the worst ways to spread KNOWLEDGE.....which is the key to anything in life.
