TURN THE VOLUME UP ON THE VIDEO SO YOU CAN HEAR IT!!!

--------------------FRONT HANDSPRING--------------------

1. Start running at a controlled pace.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

2. Now lunge with your dominant leg. If you don't know which is your dominant leg, then try this. If you were to kick a soccer ball and you would use your right foot, your left leg is your dominant leg. At that same time, start going outward with your upper body.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

3. Plant your hands AND swing your back leg up HARD!!!!!!! You don't wanna swing half-assed and expect to land it correctly. These should happen simultaneously. Keep your arms straight.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

4. Like i say in the video, try to get into a bridge really fast and snap out. If you try to land standing, you will land in a crouch. If you try to get into a bridge really fast, you will land standing. Also, think about driving your heels as hard as you can to the ground.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

5. Now plant your feet, and the momentum will take you off your hands.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

6. The momentum will take you from there. If you did it right, you will be standing.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

*Keep your arms straight throughout the move*
*Remember to DRIVE your heels to the ground so you will land standing*
*If you try to go from the handstand to standing, you will land in a crouch or on your ass. If you try to go from the handstand to bridge, you will land standing*

---------------------Front Tuck--------------------

1. Unlike front handsprings, you will have to punch upwards, not jump. Jumping requires you to bend your legs, and punching you run, hop, and then throw your body upward. Have your elbows by your ears, not your hands. Have your hands parallel to the floor.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

2. Now THROW your torso to your knees with FORCE. Grab your knees if you want, and stay in that position until the landing.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

3. Let the momentum you created carry you over so you land in a crouched or crab position.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

4. Make sure to stand up right after that to make it look like it didn't hurt, or that you meant to do it.

http://www.bboy.org/gallery/showphot...cat=500&page=1

*PUNCH, not JUMP*
*Start with your elbows by your ears and your arms parallel to the ground. If you don't think this will help, try it standing. Try your hands by your ears and throw your arms down. Now have your elbows by your ears and parallel to the ground, then throw them down with the same force. You should hop a little with only using your arms.*

there's 3 things i can think of that would make you do that.

1. you're putting more pressure on one arm than the other, so you're gonna land funny. make sure you are equally balanced on your hands.

2. you're tucking and bending your legs when you land, thus buckling to the side. to fix this, make sure to drive your heels hard and try to keep your head away from your chest, so it arches your back so you can't tuck your legs in.

3. you have too much momentum, and you just can't handle the landing. just don't run as hard and focus on form.

other than that, just keep practicing, then you can do axe 1 handed front handsprings in a circle, and every1 will think you're crazy. (trust me)

Damn mali-bootay great guide!

I just got 3 questions.....

1. I cant do them from running i can only do them from standing, but when you do them from running i swing my right leg and im left-footed. Am i soposed to swing my right leg or my left leg?

2.If you do them from running do you jump into it or does your leg leave the ground one at a tme?

3.When you I land them from standing when i land sometimes i dive my heels to the ground at it hurts. What do i do ?

thanks taegashi lol

aight

1. well whichever way you kick up into a handstand is the way you kick into a fhs

2. you don't JUMP into it. the hurdle is a small hop to get your feet into position for the fhs. if you don't hop, you might pull a muscle in your back leg.

3. that's because you're putting your head too close to your chest, and that's causing your back to arch, and your legs will naturally bend. because you are doing that, and the lack of forward moment, your heels are going STRAIGHT INTO THE GROUND.

this should help all your problems.
