Since my accident i really have problem working round my hip but i think i shud try now even tho it still hurt sometimes..i wanna learn flares but my problem is when i kick my left foot around and kick my right foot up..it comes straight down and hits the floor..how can i go on..placement of hands,body-angle..from the ground ???thanks guys help me out here!!

when u kick ur left leg,ur right leg need not be kicked.it will go up naturally due to momentum.i get wad u mean.u fall bcos of not enuff momentum,which means u gotta train more.if ur hips hurt then rest.too much hard work will hurt ya.Pz

also remember to make the rotation smooth kinda like swingin' not lettin yoself go fast cause ur gonna fall,elevate yo hips
flares r quite easy to understand but they need a lotta practice |

so u mean i dont have to kick hard rite??and do i have to straighten my feet when ,course i think..just trying to get it straight..u said theb elevate ur hip u mean like in humping the ceiling??i'm lost what way?? thanks guys.

in the front you don't need to go high at all...okay, it's biting me in the ass now because i'm too high in the front so i'm not getting enough height in the back to keep going or combo it to ANYTHING...not even down to a handglide...and not flaremill either (my mills suck but still)
you need to keep your arms really close or your not going to be able to shift weight going to the back or you'll collapse your arms...you need to have straight arms for height purposes and not falling. keep the left leg low so you don't fall on your ass. i don't have perfect flares at all, can't get to the back cleanly, but that should help anyway.. |

I'll try and post my pathetic trials asap..soviet i think u got a point,i plant my left hand at the right spot but my right hand kinda wonder..i saw ur old vid and i'm almost at the point now,i fall a bit before that..what else guys??

okay when i said elevate yo hips i meant juss to elevate em in a moderated way, not to brin yo feet to the ceilin
u need to find an aproppiate height to make the flares, u need to be in the same height in the front part n in the back part of the flare, cause if u make the front part higher then the back part ull end up fallin... |

since we're on the topic of flares, i might as well post my problems...I can't get my hips high enough for the second flare, and it causes me to crash...tips anyone?...here is a clip

hmmm the very 1st flare u hited was ok
wat u need here is to elevate yo hips mo in the back part try openin yo legs mo when ure in the back part n also try to kick harder at the beginnig of the flare... |

Alright... When I try and hit the flare I go around (half-circle) and i just hit the floor.. I swing my self hard but stiull it only goes half way... NE tips?

ahh... i got the same prob too... . when i start my flare, i juz drop dwn n is onli abt 2 to 3 secs onli... tried very hard but still the same...

then u too guys need to elevate more ure left leg (if u go ccw) n learn how to support in that lil second (when yo feet pass from the front to the back) yourself with your rite hand...this is only hard to understand not hard to do once u do it the 1st time ull be able to do it all the times

hey i try to do a flare(ccw) when my left leg sweeps under my right, i kick my right leg up and my legs are out in a V position but i fall. is it because im kicking right leg up 2 hard? plz help

hey spikey try to kick ur leg in tha direction ur hand(in the floor) is pointin.. it makes u legs go high.. and then u can finish ur flare..
