Your 'problem' is nothing to do with speed, it is a common gymnastic term called 'czeching your flare'. It happens when you don't always face the same wall when flaring and you rotate from the opposite direction your flaring.
This technique can help you get more rotations, and is taught when gymnasts first learn virgin flares. It is easier because it doesn't require you to stretch your legs as much, as you arrive in back support(front of flare) slightly 'earlier'.
It is a good technique to learn flares with first, although ideally you should always face same point. Saying this, a LOT of pro b-boys czech their flares, some don't.
The stage you are at now is you have succesfully managed to figure out how to swing ur legs, but you need to add more hip and upperbody strength to heighten ur flares. peace
