Wondering i'm strenght - 11-07-2003, 02:40 PM

I'm thinking about trying flares but i'm wondering how much strength does it take to do it, it seems like you have to have enough to keep your body up, any info on this?

trust me, i've seen 14 year old skinny boys who can't planche for sht busting flares, strength is not needed although it helps to control ur flare better but not needed.

SO IT DOESN"T REQUIRE STRENGTH? NAW WAY... cuz if i dont then i gotta try, not sayin i'm weak just saying that it looks like it requires you to be able to hold like a planche or a very high l-sit for a long time, although i can hold l-sits but not very high ones..

anyways whats teh difficulty of them, lets say compared to windmills how hard are they?

actually try workin strength then speed. i remember when i was learnin flares, people complain about me goin slow,etc. i was doin half flares at that time and i had enough power to go pretty slow but it wasnt enough to get around, my right feet dragged.

counterclock wise
if you do a half flare and your right foot drags, but you dont fall or collapse, (you kno, drag that right foot while the left leg is still high in the air and right hand still supportin you ) than you should probably work on executing it with more speed or your still doin it improper.
